Overview
The Ceremonial Warhammer is a two-handed weapon in Crimson Desert that grants increased Critical Hit Chance, improving the likelihood of dealing critical damage with each strike. It is wielded exclusively by Oongka and sits at 15 base attack power. While its raw damage is slightly lower than pure-attack warhammers, the built-in critical hit bonus gives it a higher effective damage ceiling when crits land consistently.

The name suggests a weapon originally designed for ritual or ceremonial use rather than battlefield duty. Despite its ornamental origins, the Ceremonial Warhammer is fully combat-functional and hits just as hard as any practical warhammer in its weight class. The critical hit bonus makes it particularly attractive for players investing in crit-oriented Abyss Core builds.

How to Obtain
The Ceremonial Warhammer can be crafted at a Blacksmith using the following materials:
Material | Quantity |
|---|---|
Iron Ore | 10 |
Copper Ore | 3 |
The crafting recipe must be learned first by finding the appropriate weapon crafting book in Pywel. Crafting books can be discovered during exploration (a book icon appears on the mini-map when one is nearby) or purchased from merchants. The weapon may also appear in Equipment Shops or as loot from treasure chests.
Combat Notes
The Ceremonial Warhammer's Critical Hit Chance Lv. 1 bonus is its defining trait. In Crimson Desert's combat system, critical hits deal significantly more damage than standard strikes. Since warhammers already hit hard on a per-swing basis, each critical hit with this weapon can deal devastating burst damage that staggers or outright kills weaker enemies.
At 15 base attack, the Ceremonial Warhammer trails behind the Bonepit Warhammer (16 attack) and the Thalwynd Warhammer (16 attack) in raw numbers. The trade-off is worthwhile for players who stack additional critical hit chance through Abyss Core augments, since the combined crit rate pushes the average damage output well beyond what flat attack power alone provides.
Its higher sell price of 5.27 Silver Coins suggests it is considered a more valuable piece of equipment than standard warhammers, which aligns with its ceremonial craftsmanship and the added crit bonus.
Refinement
Refinement at a Blacksmith increases the base attack value across 10 tiers. Each refinement level requires materials from mining and gathering. Since the critical hit bonus is a fixed property, refinement only boosts the attack stat, but higher base damage means each critical hit becomes even more devastating.
Tips
Stack Abyss Cores with critical hit chance bonuses to maximize the weapon's strength. The built-in Lv. 1 crit bonus serves as a foundation for a crit-focused loadout.
The Ceremonial Warhammer shines against bosses with large health pools where consistent crits over a long fight add up to major damage savings.
If you prefer raw, guaranteed damage without relying on crit procs, consider the Bonepit Warhammer or Thalwynd Warhammer instead.
