Overview
Wall of Steel I is a standard passive Abyss Core in Crimson Desert. This is double the reduction offered by Aegis I, making Wall of Steel I one of the strongest passive defensive cores at the standard tier.
The flat 2.0 damage reduction applies to all incoming physical hits before other defense calculations. Against enemies that attack rapidly with many small hits, this reduction is proportionally more effective than against single large hits, since it applies to every individual strike.

How to Obtain
Purchased from Witch merchants. Also found in mid-game supply chests and as drops from heavily armored enemies.
Standard Abyss Cores like Wall of Steel I can be acquired from Witches who serve as merchants at various camps and settlements across the world. Check with any Witch merchant when you visit a new area, as their inventory may include this core.
Usage and Strategy
Socket Wall of Steel I into any compatible equipment piece (Armor, Shields) to gain its Damage Reduction 2.0 bonus. The effect is always active as long as the core remains socketed and the equipment is worn.
Tips
Wall of Steel I is the direct upgrade path from Aegis I. Replace Aegis I as soon as you find or purchase Wall of Steel I.
Socketing Wall of Steel I in both an armor piece and a shield provides 4.0 total damage reduction, which makes a noticeable difference in longer fights.
