Overview
The Icewing Plate Boots are Rare-rarity footwear in Crimson Desert, part of the Icewing Plate set belonging to Gwen Kraber. Like the gloves, they provide both Attack and Defense stats. Their unique feature is a Swim Speed Multiplier Abyss Gear, making them the go-to boots for any content involving water traversal. They arrive at refinement level 2.
A piece of armor belonging to Gwen Kraber, captain of the Wolf Trackers. She is Giath's loyal right hand, constantly seeking new prey for him. In some ways, she seems an unlikely fit among wolf trackers. Her true origins are unknown, but her skill is beyond doubt.
Stats
Stat | Base (+0) | At +2 | Max (+10) |
|---|---|---|---|
Attack | 11 | 15 | 35 |
2 | 4 | 19 |
The boots have slightly lower offensive stats compared to the gloves (35 vs 36 Attack at max), but compensate with a higher base Defense (2 vs 0 at +0). The Attack-to-Defense ratio makes them a well-rounded option for footwear.
Abyss Gears
The Icewing Plate Boots come with two Abyss Gear sockets pre-filled:
Gear Slot | Effect | |
|---|---|---|
Socket 1 | Swim Speed 2000% | Massively increases swimming speed, making water traversal trivially fast. |
Socket 2 | Defense +3 | Flat defense bonus stacking on top of the boots' base defense stat. |
The Swim Speed 2000% gear is the standout here. While it has no direct combat application, it dramatically improves quality of life for any content that involves swimming across rivers, lakes, or flooded areas. The Defense +3 gear complements the boots' naturally modest defense.
Refinement
The boots can be refined from +0 to +10 at a blacksmith. Both Attack and Defense increase with each level. The material requirements mirror the gloves, using Short Hair Hide and Fang.
Level | Attack | |||
|---|---|---|---|---|
+0 | 11 | 2 | None | 352 |
+1 | 13 | 3 | Iron Ore x1 | 370 |

+3 | 17 | 5 | Iron Ore x3, Short Hair Hide x2 | 476 |
+4 | 19 | 7 | Iron Ore x4, Short Hair Hide x4 | 580 |
+5 | 21 | 9 | Iron Ore x5, Short Hair Hide x6, Fang x1, Abyss Artifact x1 | 3,588 |
+6 | 23 | 11 | Iron Ore x6, Short Hair Hide x8, Fang x2, Abyss Artifact x1 | 6,650 |

How to Obtain
The Icewing Plate Boots are found in the Sanctum of Soloulless, located right beside the A in "Pailune" on the world map. This sanctum is one of the witch sanctum locations in the game.
Inside the sanctum, there is a boss in the room where the boots are located. You may need to defeat this boss before you can access the chest. To reach the chest, go to the western wall of the sanctum and climb up. While on the wall, hold the Resist button (left trigger on controller), then use Force Palm to spin yourself through the wall into a hidden area. The chest containing the Icewing Plate Boots is inside.
To leave the hidden area, grab the wall again, hold Resist, and use Force Palm a second time to spin back out.
