How to Obtain
This item can be found as loot in the open world or obtained through specific quests and encounters.
Hidden Tower Pickup (Eastern Delesyia)
The Herald of Six O'Clock sits in a sealed chamber inside a ruined fortress on the hills above the Delesyia main city. The marker for the area on the world map is the Morevain Bridge shipwreck just south of the city; the tower is on the slopes uphill from the wreck.
Step-by-Step Pickup
Approach the wrecked tower from the slope side rather than the cliff edge. There is no climbing puzzle, just a drop-down into the ruin.
Drop into the ruined fortress. From the top of the tower, jump down to the lower courtyard. A small group of abyssal stone worm enemies is waiting; they are weak but ambush quickly.
Clear the worms first. Triggering the unlock fire with the worms still alive risks them interrupting the door open animation. A few one-handed sword swings handles them.
Light the brazier outside the chamber. On the rear wall of the courtyard, a narrow side chamber is sealed. A small unlit brazier sits next to the door. Use any fire-imbued attack or fire arrow to light it; the door slides open.
Open the chest inside. The chamber holds a single chest with the Herald of Six O'Clock. The mini-map shows the room as a white dot on a lined background while the chest is unopened.
Active Effect: 6:00 AM Rooster Cry
The Herald of Six O'Clock is a timekeeping device disguised as a deep blue feathered cap. Each in-game day at 6:00 AM, a small clockwork rooster pops out of the brim and crows. The cry is purely cosmetic, but the helmet wearer also passively gains a small Knowledge journal stamp the first time the cry triggers.
Although the in-game clock is already shown in the bottom-left corner of the HUD, the Herald is popular with players collecting the full cosmetic helmet set, and pairs thematically with the Olvald's Logging Axe and other early-morning farming routines that rely on respawn timers.
Tips
Travel light. The chamber is small; do not bring summoned pets that block the door animation.
Pick it up on the same trip as the Witter's Plate Helm. Both unique helmets sit a short ride apart in eastern Delesyia, so combine the runs.
Wear it for the dawn collection runs. Mercury pools, gold-ore nodes, and brimstone deposits all reset on a daily cycle, so the rooster cry doubles as an audible reminder that resource respawns are due.
Notes
Leather armor provides a balance between protection and mobility, sitting between Cloth Armor and Chain Mail in terms of defensive capability and weight.
