Overview

The Dewhaven Longsword is a two-handed weapon in Crimson Desert that belongs to the greatsword subclass. Named after the Dewhaven region, this longsword offers 20 base attack power with no secondary stat bonuses, making it a pure damage option for players who prefer raw hitting power over critical strike utility.
At 20 attack, the Dewhaven Longsword ties with the Sydmon Longsword for the highest base attack among standard craftable longswords. The lack of critical rate or attack speed bonuses keeps the weapon straightforward; every swing delivers the same reliable damage without depending on random procs. This makes it a strong pick for players who value consistency, especially during encounters where fights are short enough that critical chance bonuses would not average out to meaningful gains.

Abyss Gears
The Dewhaven Longsword has five Abyss Gear slots for customization. Since the weapon carries no built-in secondary stat bonuses, these slots provide significant flexibility. Players can socket cores that add critical rate to introduce crit potential, stack flat attack bonuses to push the already high base damage even further, or invest in defensive utility like stagger resistance to offset the lack of a shield while wielding a two-handed weapon.
Combat Notes
As a greatsword, the Dewhaven Longsword uses wide sweeping attack animations that can connect with multiple enemies standing close together. The moveset includes horizontal slashes, diagonal cuts, and overhead strikes that provide good coverage against groups. Characters like Kliff and Damiane can equip this weapon, gaining access to heavy stagger pressure that breaks through enemy guard stances more effectively than one-handed weapons.
The 20 attack power base puts the Dewhaven Longsword in the top tier of standard longswords. For comparison, the Balton Longsword sits at 14 attack and the Thalwynd Longsword at 16. The only standard longsword matching this damage is the Sydmon Longsword, which also has 20 attack but similarly lacks secondary stats. The difference between the two comes down to availability and personal preference.
Tips
The Dewhaven Longsword's high base attack makes it a good candidate for refinement investment, since each refinement tier amplifies an already strong foundation.
Without built-in critical rate, consider slotting Abyss Cores that boost crit chance if you plan to use this weapon against bosses with large health pools where sustained DPS matters.
Use wide horizontal swings to hit multiple enemies in group encounters. The greatsword arc can catch three or four targets in a single pass.
Against shielded enemies, commit to a full combo to maximize stagger buildup. Two-handed longswords break guards faster than lighter alternatives.
