Overview
Blix is a fugitive goblin and bounty target found near Unicorn Cliff in the Hernand region. He is wanted for the unauthorized looting of state-owned ruins, a crime that has drawn the attention of the local authorities. Blix is affiliated with the Hornsplitter goblin faction and travels alongside non-hostile Hornsplitter workers, attempting to blend in and avoid detection.
The Bounty Notice: Blix quest becomes available during Chapter 2: Golden Greed. Bounty posters for Blix can be found on notice boards and street poles throughout the City of Hernand, marked by a purple poster icon on the minimap. This bounty is a faction quest for House Celeste.
Appearance
Blix is a small green goblin who stands out from his armed companions because he wears almost no clothing. While the rest of his gang wears armor and carries weapons, Blix is entirely shirtless and dressed only in shorts. He also has a large grey mustache that helps distinguish him from the other goblins in the group.
On the minimap, Blix appears as a red outlaw icon, which is distinct from the regular enemy markers used for his goblin allies. Players can also use the Observe function to highlight and mark Blix among the group, making it easier to track his position during combat.
Location
Blix can be found near a merchant camp on Unicorn Cliff, at the bottom of the cliff where there is a gap marked by a brazier. His position appears on the world map once you pick up the bounty poster. The area sits in a large crevice between mountains, south of the Nas Riverside and southeast of Capra Pasture. The crevice is west of the Goldleaf Guildhouse in the Hernand Highlands, within Hornsplitter goblin territory.
The terrain around the hideout is hilly with scattered goblin camps throughout the area. When approaching, you will encounter Blix walking toward the Nas Riverside together with a band of Hornsplitter workers, trying to blend in to avoid suspicion.
Spawn Timing
Blix has a narrow spawn window and only appears between 6:00 AM and 1:00 PM in-game time each day. The in-game clock is displayed in the bottom-left corner of the HUD. If you arrive after 1:00 PM, Blix will not be present and you will need to wait until the following in-game morning.
If you reach the marked area before 1:00 PM and then wait past that time, Blix will remain present as long as you stay in the vicinity. The key is to arrive during the spawn window.
Blix may also fail to spawn if you are standing too close to his location. If he does not appear despite correct timing, move away toward the river and then walk back to the crevice.
How to Wait
To pass time until the spawn window opens, use any bonfire or campfire in the area. Hold up the Lantern (LB on Xbox, L1 on PlayStation) and press A (or X on PlayStation) to activate the Wait function. You can wait for up to 12 hours at once, but be aware that you cannot chain consecutive waits back to back. Rest at a nearby bonfire and wait roughly 6 to 12 in-game hours, then return to the area.
How to Capture Blix
Capturing Blix alive is strongly recommended because the alive payout is double the dead reward. The general strategy involves three phases: thin out his minions, isolate Blix, and then tackle and subdue him.
Phase 1: Deal with the Minions
Inside the mountain crevice, Blix and his goblin gang will ambush you. Use ranged attacks such as bow shots to lure individual goblins away from the group. Fight them in the open ground near the river rather than inside the cramped crevice. Focus on eliminating the armed goblins first while avoiding heavy attacks directed at Blix.
Phase 2: Isolate Blix
Once the other goblins are down, Blix will notice you and start running. He actively flees when he detects a threat. Let him run until he loses aggression and stops moving. Then crouch (press L3/LS) and approach him from behind. If he spots you and re-engages, block his attacks but avoid retaliating with full combos, since you do not want to kill him accidentally.
Phase 3: Tackle and Subdue
When you are close enough behind Blix, a Tackle prompt will appear. Execute the tackle to pin him down, then use basic punches until the Tie Up prompt appears on screen. Select the tie-up option to bind Blix and complete the capture.
Wearing a Mask may help you avoid triggering immediate combat when approaching, though nearby goblins can still become suspicious and attack.
Transporting Blix
With Blix tied up, summon your horse. Walk up to the horse and use the load prompt to place Blix onto the saddle. On PlayStation, hold L1 and then press X near the horse; on Xbox, hold LB and then press A. Using the Lantern on your horse allows you to load Blix like cargo.
Blix will stay secured on the back of your horse even if you dismiss and resummon it. Fast travel is disabled while carrying a bounty target, so you will need to ride manually back to the City of Hernand. Plan your route carefully and watch for hostile Hornsplitters who may chase you during the journey back to the guard cells.
Turning In the Bounty
Deliver Blix to the constabulary in the City of Hernand. The bounty icon on your minimap will guide you to Guard Antoni at the Guard Station near the west gate. Interact with the guard to hand over Blix and collect your reward.
Rewards
Reward | Alive | Dead |
|---|---|---|
Contribution EXP | +200 | +200 |
+15.00 | +7.50 |
A Note with a Suspicious Symbol (x1) is also obtained during the capture. This item appears to be connected to a broader storyline involving the bounty targets.
Contribution EXP is the same whether the target is alive or dead, but the Silver payout is halved for a dead bounty. Completing bounties earns Hernand Contribution, which unlocks items at the Contribution Shop.
Tips
Arrive at Blix's location before 1:00 PM in-game time to ensure he spawns. If you miss the window, rest at a bonfire and return the next morning.
If Blix does not appear despite correct timing, move away from the crevice toward the river and then approach again. Standing too close can prevent his spawn.
Use a bow to pull individual goblins away from the group rather than engaging the entire camp at once.
Wearing a Mask may help you avoid triggering immediate combat, but nearby goblins can still become suspicious and attack.
Avoid using heavy weapon combos on Blix. Stick to light punches and the tackle/punch loop to prevent accidentally killing him.
The game may bug if you kill Blix, causing his body to become impossible to pick up. Save manually before engaging.
Remember that fast travel is disabled while carrying a bounty target. Plan a safe route back to Hernand before picking up the body.
