Best Endgame Equipment

Add stat priority guide, specific gear recommendations for accessories, boots, gloves, bows, and shields
Once you have completed the main story of Crimson Desert and entered the post-game, your gear choices become critical for tackling the toughest optional bosses, sanctum challenges, and endgame activities. This guide covers the strongest armor sets, weapons, and accessories available in the late game, along with how to obtain them.
Crimson Desert's equipment system revolves around two layers of power: base item stats and Abyss Gear augmentations. Base items gain power through the Refinement system at blacksmiths, while Abyss Gears are socketed mods crafted by Witches that provide additional bonuses. Maximizing both layers is essential for endgame content.
Refinement levels 1 through 4 require only basic crafting materials. Levels 5 and above cost Abyss Artifacts (the same resource used for skill points), so you need to balance spending Artifacts between gear upgrades and skill unlocks.
When evaluating endgame equipment, the most impactful stats to prioritize are (in rough order of importance):
Attack Speed (directly increases damage output per second)
Attack (raw damage increase)
Critical Rate (scales multiplicatively with attack)
Movement Speed (improves positioning and dodging in combat)
Defense calculations show that most armor pieces are not far apart in raw defensive value. Because of this, you can afford to prioritize looks and secondary stats on your armor, then apply Abyss Gears to fill in whatever defensive gaps remain.

At the endgame level, Abyss Gear augmentations can double or even triple your effective power. Visit any Witch to craft, embed, and extract Abyss Gear from your equipment sockets.
Key principles for endgame Abyss Gear:
Match Abyss Gear effects to your build. Attack-focused builds should prioritize Critical Rate and Attack Power mods, while defensive builds should prioritize Health Recovery and Defense mods.
Higher-tier Abyss Gear requires rarer crafting materials. Farm Sealed Abyss Artifacts to unlock the best modifiers.
Check the All Abyss Gear Modifiers article for a complete list of available bonuses.
Witch's Ring (+4 Attack Speed) from Chapter 9 witch questline
Mark of Darkness (+4 Attack Speed) from Winmia Manor
Necklace of Lightning (+5 Attack, +4 Crit Rate, spirit regeneration) from endgame content
Ring with +3 Attack Speed (various sources)
Earrings with +4 Movement Speed (various sources)
Rabbit Cloth Boots are a standout pick, providing +4 Movement Speed. They can be purchased from the vendor at Deminis Wildlife Park. The movement speed bonus makes a noticeable difference in combat responsiveness and overworld travel.
Taritas Gloves provide +3 Attack Speed, making them one of the best glove options for offensive builds.
For ranged builds, the Backer Bow is highly recommended. It starts with +2 Crit Rate as a base stat, reaching a total of 8 when fully upgraded. Combined with the Necklace of Lightning (+4 Crit Rate), this build achieves 16 total Crit Rate before any Abyss Gear modifiers.
Two shields stand out for endgame builds:
Rising Arrow Shield: 15 Defense with bonuses to Movement Speed and Attack Speed. Best all-around choice for offensive shield users.
Deminis Royal Guard Shield: 15 Defense with +2 Movement Speed. Considered the best-looking shield in the game, with competitive stats to match.
When spending limited Abyss Artifacts on Refinement past level 4, prioritize in this order:
1. Primary weapon (the one you use most in combat). Every point of attack directly speeds up fights.
2. Armor body piece (chest armor provides the largest defense gain per Refinement level).
3. Shield (if you use one). Refinement increases block effectiveness.
4. Secondary weapon and remaining armor pieces.
