Alchemy Formula: Refined Palmar Pill is an alchemy formula in Crimson Desert. A formula for crafting Palmar Master Bolus, a mystical pill that fully restores Health and allows you to instantly revive on the spot. Put the materials into the cauldron to craft the bolus through alchemy.

Refined Palmar Pill Ingredients and Order
The formula item teaches the Refined Palmar Pill recipe in a single pickup, but the recipe itself can be learned long before the formula drops by using the Improvise menu at any cauldron. The required ingredients are the same either way:

Refined Palmar Pill Formula Improvise Method
Open any cauldron (the one in Harnandes is recommended for early-game access), press the Improvise button in the bottom right, and place the four ingredients in the order listed above. Press triangle to craft. Each successful Improvise craft fills the recipe knowledge bar by about 25 to 30 percent and yields a finished Refined Palmar Pill. After roughly three crafts, the bar fills to 100 percent and the message "Refined Palmar Pill knowledge acquired" appears. From that point on the recipe is permanently unlocked under the Special Items tab and can be batch-crafted from the regular cauldron menu without going through Improvise.
Common Mistake: Wild Ginseng
The recipe requires plain Ginseng, not Wild Ginseng. Both items use the same inventory icon, which leads many players to fail the craft repeatedly without understanding why. If the Improvise unlock is making no progress, swap the third ingredient to confirm. Using Longcorn avoids the issue entirely and is the faster ingredient to farm.
Why the Refined Variant Matters
The Refined Palmar Pill is the golden upgrade over the standard Palmar Pill and is intended for tougher boss fights and any encounter where the standard pill is not enough. Substitute Ingredient Comparison

Early Bypass Before Chapter 9
The formula item itself drops on the Ascetic's Rest Abyss island after completing Chapter 9, but the recipe itself can be learned far earlier. Any cauldron in the world accepts the four ingredients through the Improvise menu, and three to four successful Improvise crafts fill the knowledge bar and teach the recipe permanently. The Cauldron Locations article lists every known cauldron; the one inside Hernand town is the easiest starter because it is reachable from every early chapter of the campaign.
After the recipe is learned, it appears under the Special Items tab of the cauldron menu and can be bulk-crafted without going through Improvise again. Once learned, the recipe stays unlocked across characters on the same save file.
