Conquistador's Boots is the Rare feet piece of the Conquistador's Armor set in Windrose. It is crafted at the Armor and Clothing Workshop after unlocking the Plans: Conquistador's Boots recipe. Conquistador's Armor is the game's heavy Ingots set, the frontline tank option that trades mobility for damage mitigation.

Overview
Rarity: Rare
Slot: Feet
Set: Conquistador's Armor
Item Level: Base ilvl 1; scales to ilvl 11 through tier upgrades
In-Game Description
"This reliable metal armor allowed the Spaniards to conquer the New World thanks to its exceptional durability and toughness."
Defense
Like all Rare and Uncommon armor, Conquistador's Boots has three crafting tiers that set its base Defense. Each tier can be upgraded several more levels at the Upgrading Station using the same recipe materials.
Item Level | Defense | Craft Tier |
|---|---|---|
1 | 100 DEF | Base tier |
6 | 200 DEF | Second tier (upgraded recipe) |
11 | 300 DEF | Third tier (top recipe) |
Crafting
Requires the craft plan Plans: Conquistador's Boots to be unlocked first. The plan is unlocked through progression with the Smugglers of Port Royal faction at higher Reputation Ranks beyond the torso and legs plans that open at Rank 2.
Item Level | Station | Materials |
|---|---|---|
1 | ||
6 | ||
11 |
Each tier unlocks a new workshop attachment: the Shoemaker's Bench at ilvl 6 and the Material Rack at ilvl 11. Both attach to the Armor and Clothing Workshop and require its Bonfire coverage to function.
Set Bonuses
Conquistador's Boots counts toward the Conquistador's Armor 5-piece set. Set bonuses apply globally once the stated number of pieces are equipped at the same time.
Pieces | Bonus |
|---|---|
2-piece | Increases Damage Resistance by 15%. |
4-piece | Grants the Bulwark effect: the first few hits you take do not interrupt your actions. |
Set Pieces
Conquistador's Armor is a five-slot set. Any two pieces grant the 2-piece bonus and any four grant the Bulwark 4-piece, so the boots are usually combined with the cuirass and helmet to anchor a stand-and-trade build.

Build Notes
The 2-piece flat 15% Damage Resistance and the 4-piece Bulwark effect reward players who commit to heavy attacks and long reloads. Bulwark stops the first few hits from interrupting your actions, which pairs well with slow Strength weapons and with reloading firearms under pressure.
As an ingots set, every tier needs refined metal: Copper Ingot at ilvl 1, Foothills Iron Ingot plus Smithing Flux at ilvl 6, and Mire Metal Ingot at ilvl 11. Keep a Smithing Flux stock on hand, as both upper tiers consume it.
Boots weigh 1.0 and share their first-tier material profile with the gloves, making them a cheap second piece to unlock the 2-piece Damage Resistance bonus early.
Flavor Text
"They strode across foreign lands with swords in their hands and a thirst for gold in their hearts."
Notes
Boots are one of the two ilvl-scaling feet slots (along with the other sets' boots) and share material costs with the Gloves tier.
Counts as one piece toward the Conquistador's Armor 2-piece and 4-piece bonuses: pairing it with a second piece from the same set is usually the minimum to get value out of the plan.

The boots plan is sold by the Smugglers of Port Royal Provisioner as you raise reputation with that faction. The top-tier recipe also draws on advanced metalworking materials gathered in the Ashlands, so expect to push into that biome before crafting the ilvl 11 version.
