Defense
Like all Rare and Uncommon armor, Marksman's Gloves has three crafting tiers that set its base Defense. Each tier can be upgraded several more levels at the Upgrading Station using the same recipe materials.

Crafting
Requires the craft plan Plans: Marksman's Gloves to be unlocked first. The plan is unlocked through progression with the People of Tortuga faction at higher Reputation Ranks beyond the torso and legs plans that open at Rank 2.

Each tier unlocks a new workshop attachment: the Shoemaker's Bench at ilvl 6 and the Material Rack at ilvl 11. Both attach to the Armor and Clothing Workshop and require its Bonfire coverage to function.
Set Bonuses
Marksman's Gloves counts toward the Marksman's Rig 5-piece set. Set bonuses apply globally once the stated number of pieces are equipped at the same time.

Gloves are the cheapest piece in the set by material cost, making them a useful first craft once you unlock the plan.
Counts as one piece toward the Marksman's Rig 2-piece and 4-piece bonuses: pairing it with a second piece from the same set is usually the minimum to get value out of the plan.
Build Notes
The Marksman's Rig is the ranged Cloth set, so Marksman's Gloves leans into Precision builds that favor the Blunderbuss, Pistol, and Musket. The 4-piece Ranged Damage bonus only applies while four set pieces are worn at once, so plan the doublet, pants, and boots alongside the gloves rather than mixing in heavier Conquistador or Pikeman plates.
Cloth pieces carry less raw Defense than Ingot armor, so the Marksman line trades survivability for the Stamina and Ranged Damage perks. Keep a Major Ring of Divine Protection or a defensive necklace on hand for the bigger Cursed Swamps and Ashlands fights where the lighter armor shows.
Pair the set with the Marksman's Ring for an extra ranged-focused bonus, and feed the upgrade tiers from the same Tarred Fabric and Crocodile Hide Piece stock you gather for the rest of the rig.
