Conquistador's Gloves is the Rare hands piece of the Conquistador's Armor set in Windrose. It is crafted at the Armor and Clothing Workshop after unlocking the Plans: Conquistador's Gloves recipe.

Rarity: Rare
Slot: Hands
Set: Conquistador's Armor
Item Level: Base ilvl 1; scales to ilvl 11 through tier upgrades
"This reliable metal armor allowed the Spaniards to conquer the New World thanks to its exceptional durability and toughness."
Like all Rare and Uncommon armor, Conquistador's Gloves has three crafting tiers that set its base Defense. Each tier can be upgraded several more levels at the Upgrading Station using the same recipe materials.
Item Level | Defense | Craft Tier |
|---|---|---|
1 | 100 DEF | Base tier |
6 | 200 DEF | Second tier (upgraded recipe) |
11 | 300 DEF | Third tier (top recipe) |
Requires the craft plan Plans: Conquistador's Gloves to be unlocked first. The plan is unlocked through progression with the Smugglers of Port Royal faction at higher Reputation Ranks beyond the torso and legs plans that open at Rank 2.
Item Level | Station | Materials |

Each tier unlocks a new workshop attachment: the Shoemaker's Bench at ilvl 6 and the Material Rack at ilvl 11. Both attach to the Armor and Clothing Workshop and require its Bonfire coverage to function.
Conquistador's Gloves counts toward the Conquistador's Armor 5-piece set. Set bonuses apply globally once the stated number of pieces are equipped at the same time.
Pieces | Bonus |
|---|---|
2-piece | Increases Damage Resistance by 15%. |
4-piece | Grants the Bulwark effect: the first few hits you take do not interrupt your actions. |
The Gloves are the hands slot of the five-piece Conquistador's Armor set, the heaviest Ingot set. The 4-piece Bulwark bonus needs the Gloves plus four of the sibling pieces below. Like the other Ingot set they all draw from the same metal line (Copper Ingot, Foothills Iron Ingot, Mire Metal Ingot), so the Gloves are a cheap entry point into the set.

Conquistador is the defensive Ingot set, trading the Pikeman set's flat Health for percentage Damage Resistance and the action-protecting Bulwark effect. The table compares all six rare sets.
Set | Material Family | 2-Piece Bonus | 4-Piece Bonus |
|---|---|---|---|
Ingots | Increases Damage Resistance by 15%. | Grants the Bulwark effect. | |
Leather | Attacks consume 20% less Stamina. | Increases one-handed weapon Damage by 15%. | |
Cloth | Improves ranged accuracy and handling. | Boosts firearm Damage. | |
Ingots | Increases maximum Health by 160. | Increases two-handed weapon Damage by 15%. | |
Cloth | Favors mobility and stamina economy. | Improves sustained damage output. | |
Leather | Aids hunting and resource gathering. | Rewards mobile, hit-and-run play. |
The 2-piece +15% Damage Resistance bonus is a flat mitigation multiplier, so it scales with every hit you take and stacks well with the high base Defense of a fully upgraded set.
The 4-piece Bulwark effect lets your first few hits land without your attack or heal being interrupted, which is strong for slow two-handed swings and for drinking potions mid-fight against bosses such as Thomas Richards.
Gloves are the cheapest piece by material cost, so craft them first, then add Conquistador's Cuirass for the 2-piece resistance bonus before completing the set for Bulwark.
"They strode across foreign lands with swords in their hands and a thirst for gold in their hearts."
Gloves are the cheapest piece in the set by material cost, making them a useful first craft once you unlock the plan.
Counts as one piece toward the Conquistador's Armor 2-piece and 4-piece bonuses: pairing it with a second piece from the same set is usually the minimum to get value out of the plan.
