The Armor and Clothing Workshop is the dedicated armor-crafting station in Windrose. It is distinct from the Weaponsmith Workshop (which crafts and ascends weapons) and the Upgrading Station (which raises level 1 through 8 gear). Every armor piece is crafted here, not at any other station.
Recipe and Requirements
Property | Value |
|---|---|
Recipe | 5 Wood + 10 Coarse Fabric |
Placement | Must be inside a Bonfire build radius and covered by a roof |
Category | Base crafting station (not an attachment) |
The roof requirement is shared with the Weaponsmith Workshop: both stations need overhead shelter to function. Most players build both inside a single enclosed structure to share the roof investment.
What You Craft Here
Every armor piece. Head, chest, gloves, pants, and boots across all rarities
Clothing cosmetics. Non-combat outfit pieces that display in social interactions at Tortuga
Bandages. The basic Bandage consumable (1 Coarse Fabric) is typically crafted at the Workbench but alternative pathways exist here too
Workshop Upgrades
The Armor and Clothing Workshop itself supports add-ons that unlock higher-rarity armor. Documented upgrades include:
Material Rack. Expands the raw-material input list
Shoemaker's Bench. Recipe: 30 Hardwood + 20 Tanned Leather + 15 Linen Fabric. Unlocks the Boots slot at Rare tier
Additional mannequin slots. Fully kitting out the workshop with mannequins enables Rare set crafting; without the mannequins, Rare plans remain locked even after purchase from faction Provisioners
Placement Tips
Share a roof and Bonfire with the Weaponsmith Workshop to minimize base footprint
Plan space for the Material Rack and Shoemaker's Bench upgrades before placing the workshop; leaving 2-3 tiles of walkable area around the station prevents a later rebuild
Dismantling at the Disassembly Table refunds all materials at 100%
