Overview

Beans are a staple Seedbed crop in Windrose. Like Leek, seeds are first found inside ruined swamp structures in the Cursed Swamps, gated behind the second boss.

Where to Find Seeds

Bean Seeds are first obtained by searching the flower beds inside ruined structures in the Cursed Swamps, which sit behind the area's second boss. A reliable spot is the Ruin With a Flowerbed point of interest, where harvesting the wild bean plants yields seedlings. Once you have a single seed, planting at a Seedbed makes the supply self-sustaining, since every harvest refunds at least one seed. You can also buy single beans cheaply from the Tortuga Food Seller for 1 Piastre if you just need a few.

Farming

Bean Sapling is the plantable form of Beans. It can only be sown in a Seedbed for Plants, which itself requires Fertile Soil to craft. After planting a single seed the crop matures in 1h 10m of real-time growth, then yields the outputs listed in the harvest table below. Replanting is self-sustaining: every harvest refunds at least one seed.

Farming Detail

Harvesting wild Bean plants at the Ruin With a Flowerbed POI yields Bean Seedlings. Plant seedlings at a Seedbed at base (Seedbeds require Fertile Soil from Foothills Ancient Farms), and crops mature in roughly 70 real-time minutes per cycle. This is the most reliable sustainable supply once the player has full Cursed Swamps access.

Additional Recipes

• Bean Soup: Uncommon dish (+5 Agility, 15 min Max HP) using 1 Beans + 1 Cayenne Pepper + 1 Meat.

• Beans with Mushrooms and Sweet Potato: 4 Beans + 2 Lobster Mushrooms + 4 Sweet Potato.

Combined with Taco (5x Beans for +20 Mastery), the Beans-to-recipes ratio is roughly 3 dishes per full Seedbed cycle if the player grows them in moderate quantity.

Tips

• Beans are an Agility-leaning food crop: Bean Soup grants +5 Agility and a Max HP boost for 15 minutes, useful for Sabers and Greatswords builds.

• The Taco recipe consumes 5 Beans for a +20 Mastery buff, so dedicate a couple of Seedbed slots to beans if you cook tacos often.

• At 0.2 weight each, beans are heavier than most crops; harvest in batches that match your cooking plans rather than hoarding full stacks.
