Overview
Taco is a epic-tier cooked dish in Windrose. A hearty stacked corn tortilla with beans and tomato. Mastery raises critical hit chance, so Taco is the crit-oriented build's staple.

Buff Stacking Rule
Windrose allows exactly two active food buffs at once. Eating a third cooked dish overwrites the oldest active buff. Raw food still fills the hunger meter but grants no stat buff. See Food and Potions for the full ruleset.
Best Used For
Pair this dish with armor sets and weapon choices that scale with Mastery. For cross-stat stacking, see Attributes and Stats and the Cooking Recipes overview table.

Role in the Meta
Taco is the Epic Mastery dish. Mastery governs critical hit behavior and is a preferred stat for finisher-heavy builds. It pairs well with Elixir of Precision for marksman-style pistol and musket rotations, or with a Mastery-scaling ExecutionerThe buff is +20 Mastery, Epic tier, lasting 30 minutes.
Station Requirement
Cooking Fire + Cutting Table + Cookware Shelf, plus a Millstone nearby for Cornmeal production. The Millstone itself is a small-station build unlocked once Corn is first picked up in the Foothills.
Comparison With Other Epic Dishes
Each of the six core stats has one Epic cooked dish granting +20 to that stat for 30 minutes. Taco is the Mastery entry, so it sits alongside Gazpacho (Agility), Swamp Pie (Precision), and Seafood Platter (Vitality). Because only two food buffs can be active at once, most players pair Taco with one survival dish and one offense dish rather than stacking two offense buffs.
Dish | Stat Buff | Best For |

+20 Precision | Pistol, Musket, and Blunderbuss builds | |
+20 Vitality | Tanking and extended boss fights |
Practical Tips
Stock up before a boss run. Taco stacks to 10 and weighs only 0.2 each, so a full stack is light enough to carry on long voyages without crowding your inventory.
Set up a Cooking Fire, Cutting Table, and Cookware Shelf in one base corner, with a Millstone next to them, so a Taco batch can be cooked in a single trip.
Farm Tomato and Corn in Foothills seedbeds; the only swamp-gated ingredient is Mysterious Spice, which comes from Cursed Swamps chests, so plan a swamp trip to stock spice for several batches at once.
