Overview
Gulpin is a Poison-type Pokemon that can be befriended in Pokemon Pokopia. It has the Storage specialty, shared with Swalot (its evolution). The Storage specialty allows Gulpin to function as a mobile storage unit, holding materials that can be accessed directly at crafting benches without needing to visit a separate storage box.
Storage Specialty
The Storage specialty is one of the most practical specialties in the game. When Gulpin (or Swalot) is near a workbench, materials stored inside it become available for crafting, just like having a storage box placed next to the workbench. This effectively expands your accessible material pool without requiring additional storage box construction.
The advantage of Gulpin over a regular storage box is mobility. While storage boxes are stationary once placed, Gulpin moves around your town. As long as it is near a workbench when you start crafting, its contents are available. This is especially useful when you have multiple crafting stations spread across different parts of your town.

The main limitation is that Gulpin roams around your town, so it may not always be next to the workbench you want to use. Placing Gulpin's habitat near your primary crafting area helps keep it in the right location.
Swalot
Swalot, the evolved form of Gulpin, also has the Storage specialty. Having both Gulpin and Swalot provides two mobile storage units in your town, increasing the chance that one is near whichever workbench you need. They can be befriended independently with different habitats.
How to Befriend
Create the appropriate habitat to attract Gulpin. Check the Habitat Dex at any Pokemon Center PC for the specific requirements. Gulpin tends to appear in marshy or wet environments.
Tips
Place Gulpin's habitat close to your main workbench to maximize the Storage specialty's usefulness. The best practice in Pokopia is to place a storage box right next to a workbench so you can draw materials from storage while crafting. Gulpin supplements this by acting as an additional, mobile storage source. Befriend both Gulpin and Swalot for double the mobile storage capacity. Load frequently-used materials into Gulpin to save inventory space on your character.
