Overview
Greninja is a Water/Dark-type Pokemon in Pokemon Pokopia, classified as the Ninja Pokemon (Dex #253). It makes shuriken out of mucus excreted from its thighs, and these shuriken can cut cleanly through steel cables. Greninja is the final evolution of the Froakie family, evolving from Frogadier in the main series. It carries two specialties: Water and Chop, making it one of the more versatile Pokemon in Pokopia.
Habitat
Greninja can be found at two habitats.
Hydrated Pink Tall Grass (#139)
The pink of the tall grass contrasts beautifully with the blue hues of the water.
Item | Quantity | Notes |

Pink Tall Grass | 4 | Decorative grass items |
Water | 2 | Water features |
Greninja is a Rare visitor at the Hydrated Pink Tall Grass habitat. It is available during all times of day (Morning, Day, Evening, Night) and in all weather conditions (Sunny, Cloudy, Rainy). This habitat also attracts Froakie (Common) and Frogadier (Common).
Prank Button (#173)
A conspicuous button next to a boo-in-the-box. To press, or not to press, that is the question.
Item | Quantity | Notes |
|---|---|---|
Floor Switch | 1 | Interactive button |
Boo-in-the-box | 1 | Prank-themed furniture |
Greninja is a Rare visitor at the Prank Button habitat. It is available during all times of day (Morning, Day, Evening, Night) and in all weather conditions (Sunny, Cloudy, Rainy). This habitat also attracts Frogadier (Rare).
How to Befriend
Greninja is a Rare visitor at both of its habitats, so patience is required. The Hydrated Pink Tall Grass habitat is the recommended option since it is easy to build and also attracts Froakie and Frogadier while you wait for Greninja. The Prank Button is an alternative if you want a second chance at encounters. Build both habitats if you want to maximize your odds. Walk up and interact with Greninja when it finally appears.
Specialties
Water
Greninja has the Water specialty. Pokemon with the Water specialty can use a full water basin to spray water on nearby fields and plants. Like its pre-evolutions Froakie and Frogadier, Greninja is a useful farming companion.
Chop
Greninja also has the Chop specialty. Pokemon with the Chop specialty can process 5 small logs into 1 lumber. This makes Greninja uniquely valuable among the Froakie family, as it is the only member that can process wood. Place a chopping station near Greninja for efficient lumber production.

Evolution Chain
Greninja is the final stage of a three-stage evolution family. In the main Pokemon series, Froakie (Dex #251) evolves into Frogadier (Dex #252) at level 16, and Frogadier evolves into Greninja at level 36. In Pokopia, there is no evolution mechanic, so each member must be found at its own habitat independently. All three share the Hydrated Pink Tall Grass habitat (#139), though Greninja is the only Rare visitor there. Frogadier and Greninja also appear at the Prank Button habitat (#173).
Tips
Greninja is Rare at both habitats, so building both the Hydrated Pink Tall Grass and the Prank Button gives you two simultaneous chances to encounter it.
Greninja is the only member of the Froakie family with the Chop specialty. If you need lumber production alongside crop watering, Greninja is the one to prioritize.
The Hydrated Pink Tall Grass habitat is the most efficient starting point since you can befriend Froakie (Common) and Frogadier (Common) while waiting for Greninja to appear.
Greninja's dual specialties (Water and Chop) make it one of the most versatile Pokemon. Station it between your farm and a woodcutting area for maximum productivity.
