Overview

Kitchen furniture in inZOI covers everything needed to build a functional and stylish kitchen, from major appliances like refrigerators and ranges down to small decorative items like condiment jars and candle holders. All kitchen items are placed through Build Mode (press I or click the Build Mode icon) under the Kitchen tab. Prices are listed in Meow, the in-game currency, and are deducted automatically when you place an item on your lot.

The kitchen category is one of the largest furniture sections in the game. A working kitchen requires at minimum a refrigerator and an oven or range, since both are needed to access the cooking panel. Beyond the essentials, players can customize their kitchens with countertops, sinks, range hoods, bar counters, dining sets, lighting fixtures, and a wide variety of decorative kitchenware. Many items come in multiple style variants (Classic, Minimalist, Vintage, Country, etc.) to match different interior design themes.

Refrigerators

The refrigerator is one of the two essential kitchen appliances (along with a range or oven). Interacting with a refrigerator opens the cooking panel, where you can select recipes and prepare meals. Refrigerators range from the budget-friendly Simple Refrigerator at 920 Meow to the high-end Wine Refrigerator at 6,200 Meow. Larger models like the See-through Double-Door Refrigerator offer a premium look but function identically to cheaper options.

Large Kitchen Appliances

Large kitchen appliances include ranges (ovens with stovetops), dishwashers, and wine storage. A range is the second essential cooking appliance. You can interact with either a range or a refrigerator to open the cooking panel. The Commercial Range at 1,980 Meow and the Premium Gas Range at 3,370 Meow are popular picks for players who want their kitchen to look professional. The Dishwasher (890 Meow) lets Zois clean dirty dishes automatically rather than hand-washing them in the sink.

Small Kitchen Appliances

Small appliances add functionality and visual detail to kitchen countertops. The Induction Cooktop (899 Meow) is a standalone stovetop option for kitchens without a full range. Espresso machines are among the most expensive small items; the Two Group Espresso Machine costs 6,600 Meow and is typically used in restaurant or cafe builds. The Ramen Machine (147 Meow) and Toaster (39 Meow) are affordable appliances that add character to countertops. Water purifiers come in two forms: the compact Direct Water Purifier (104 Meow) and the larger Cabinet-Type Water Purifier (225 Meow).

Lower Cabinets and Countertops

Lower cabinets (also called countertops or counters) form the base layer of most kitchen layouts. They provide work surfaces and storage space beneath. Each style comes in a standard straight piece and a corner piece for L-shaped or U-shaped kitchen designs. Prices range from 110 Meow for the Commercial Counter up to 285 Meow for the Classic Counter. The style families (Classic, Country, Minimalist, Natural, Old-School, Sweet, Veneer, Vintage, and Wooden Panel) let you match countertops with the rest of your kitchen decor.

Sinks

Kitchen sinks are used for hand-washing dishes when no dishwasher is available. They also fulfill the Hygiene need for quick handwashing. Sinks come in various styles from the compact Basic Sink (110 Meow) to the spacious Wide Sink (190 Meow). The Gold Accented Ceramic Sink (200 Meow) is the most expensive option and adds a luxury look to upscale kitchen builds.

Range Hoods

Range hoods are mounted above a range or stovetop and serve a purely decorative purpose in the current version of the game. They do not affect cooking speed or air quality, but they complete the visual look of a finished kitchen. The Minimalist Range Hood (120 Meow) is the cheapest option, while wood-accented styles like the Classic Wood Range Hood (230 Meow) and Chimney Frame Wood Range Hood (250 Meow) suit rustic or country-themed kitchens.

Built-In Furniture

Built-in furniture pieces are designed to integrate seamlessly into countertop layouts. The Built-in Refrigerator Cabinet (312 Meow) conceals a refrigerator behind a cabinet door for a streamlined look. Slim cabinets (235 Meow each) fill narrow gaps between appliances, and the Built-in Drawers (150 Meow) add extra storage.

Bar Counters

Bar counters create an elevated eating and socializing area in the kitchen. They work well paired with barstools for a breakfast bar or open-concept kitchen layout. The Simple Bar Counter costs 1,050 Meow, while the Marble Decorated Bar Counter at 1,320 Meow features a premium marble surface.

Barstools

Barstools are tall seating designed for use with bar counters and kitchen islands. Zois sit on barstools to eat meals or socialize. There are 10 barstool variants in the game, with prices ranging from 176 Meow for the Hardwood Square Barstool to 271 Meow for the Ceramic Barstool.

Dining Tables

Dining tables are where Zois sit down to eat meals, boosting their Hunger satisfaction compared to eating while standing. Tables come in round, square, and rectangular shapes. Smaller tables like the Simple Round Dining Table (125 Meow) seat two Zois, while larger tables like the Marble Z Dining Table (390 Meow) can seat a full household. Coffee tables (Classic Square Coffee Table at 275 Meow, Minimalist Coffee Table at 268 Meow) are also listed in this category, though Zois use them for placing items rather than formal dining.

Dining Chairs

Dining chairs are paired with dining tables. Zois automatically pull out a nearby chair when sitting down to eat. The category also includes high chairs for toddlers: the standard High Chair for Toddlers (155 Meow) and the Wooden High Chair for Toddlers (220 Meow), which let young Zois eat at the table with the rest of the family. Budget options like the Plastic Monobloc Stool (80 Meow) and Plastic Monobloc Chair (84 Meow) are good for starter homes, while the Ribbon Back Dining Chair (178 Meow) and Lovely Velvet Dining Chair (170 Meow) add elegance to fancier dining rooms.

Kitchenware

Kitchenware items are small decorative and functional objects placed on countertops and shelves. Most items cost only 10 Meow and are purely decorative, adding visual detail to kitchen surfaces. Functional items include the Electric Kettle (50 Meow), dish drying racks (20 Meow each), and the Formula Container (60 Meow) used for preparing toddler food. Pots and pans (Pot at 18 Meow, Frying Pan at 15 Meow, Small Wok at 16 Meow) are decorative when placed on counters; actual cooking is done through the range or refrigerator interaction.

Indoor Trash Cans

Indoor trash cans are small containers placed in kitchens, bathrooms, and other rooms. Zois use them to discard waste from cooking and cleaning. The Baby Dinosaur Trash Can (8 Meow) is the cheapest option and a fun novelty choice, while the Classic Rattan Trash Can (38 Meow) fits more traditional kitchen designs.

Shelves

Shelves provide wall-mounted and freestanding storage for kitchens. Wall shelves are useful for displaying kitchenware and freeing up counter space, while garage-style steel shelves work well in pantry areas or utility rooms. The Simple Wall Shelf (49 Meow) is a budget-friendly option, and the 5-Tier Steel Garage Shelf (498 Meow) offers the most storage capacity.

Ceiling Lighting

Kitchen ceiling lighting ranges from simple recessed fixtures to elaborate chandeliers. Fluorescent lights (57 to 102 Meow) and spotlights (98 to 129 Meow) are practical choices for well-lit kitchens. Pendant lights hang from the ceiling on a cord and come in many styles; their prices range from 178 Meow for Steel Pendant Lighting up to 278 Meow for framed multi-bulb variants. Chandeliers (720 to 805 Meow) are premium options better suited to open-concept kitchen-dining areas. Several pendant lights come in Extra Long, Long, and Super Long variants for rooms with high ceilings.

Ceiling Fan Lighting

Ceiling fan lights combine a light fixture with a decorative fan. They are a popular choice for open-plan kitchen-living areas. The Wood Ceiling Fan Lighting (215 Meow) is the most affordable, while the Twist Ceiling Fan Lighting (476 Meow) is the priciest. These are cosmetic only and do not affect room temperature or Zoi comfort.

Shadow-Casting Lighting

Shadow-casting variants of certain light fixtures produce more realistic light and shadow effects in the environment. They are visually identical to their standard counterparts and cost the same price, but they use a higher-fidelity lighting model. Players who prioritize visual realism can swap standard fixtures for shadow-casting versions. Note that shadow-casting lights may have a minor impact on game performance.

Floor Lamps

Floor lamps are freestanding light sources placed on the ground. While they are shared across all room categories, many styles work well in kitchen-adjacent spaces like dining areas and breakfast nooks. Prices range from 8 Meow for the Basic Floor Lamp to 500 Meow for the Antique Streetlamp (a decorative indoor/outdoor piece). Pebble lamps (50 to 240 Meow) and pillar lamps (70 to 280 Meow) offer softer ambient lighting.

Frames

Frames are wall-mounted decorative items for displaying pictures and art. They appear in the kitchen category but can be used in any room. Instant Film Picture Frames (25 Meow) display photos taken with the in-game Photography system. Prices range from 2 Meow for the Tabletop Framed Picture to 250 Meow for the Extra Large Square Thin Framed Picture.

Outdoor Kitchen Items

Several kitchen-adjacent items are found in the Outdoors category. The BBQ Grill (130 Meow) lets Zois cook outside during social events and casual gatherings. The Cooler (95 Meow) stores food and drinks for outdoor activities. The Sprinkler (24 Meow) is a gardening tool listed nearby. Outdoor Trash Cans

Outdoor trash cans are larger containers placed outside homes and on community lots. They handle waste generated by cooking and household activities. The Mysterious Caster Trash Can (95 Meow) is the cheapest, and the Medium 2-Bin Trash Can (140 Meow) supports recycling with separate compartments.

Tips

• Start with the essentials. A refrigerator and a range (or induction cooktop) are the only two items you need for a functional kitchen. Everything else is optional but improves your Zoi's daily life and the look of your home.

• Match your counter style. Lower cabinets come in nine style families. Pick one style and use its straight and corner pieces together for a cohesive look. Mixing styles works too, but keeping things consistent usually looks better.

• Use corner counters for L and U shapes. Every counter style has a dedicated corner piece. Place corner counters at turns instead of overlapping two straight counters for clean, gap-free layouts.

• Place a dishwasher to save time. Without a dishwasher, Zois must wash dishes by hand at the sink, which takes longer. The Dishwasher (890 Meow) automates cleanup and frees up your Zoi's schedule.

• Bar counters double as room dividers. In open-concept homes, a bar counter with barstools can separate the kitchen from the living room while keeping sightlines open.

• Toddler high chairs matter. If you have toddlers in the household, place a High Chair for Toddlers (155 Meow) or Wooden High Chair for Toddlers (220 Meow) next to the dining table so young Zois can eat with the family.

• Lighting affects mood. Warm pendant lights and chandeliers create a cozy atmosphere, while fluorescent lights give a bright, modern look. Shadow-casting variants add extra visual realism at a small performance cost.

• Kitchenware is cheap decoration. Most kitchenware items cost just 10 Meow. Scatter a few across your countertops (knife block, spice jars, tea set) to make the kitchen feel lived in without spending much.

• The Two Group Espresso Machine is for businesses. At 6,600 Meow, it is the most expensive small appliance. It is designed for restaurant and cafe builds through the Furniture Store Career system, not typical home kitchens.
