Farever launched into Steam Early Access on May 6, 2026, developed and published by Shiro Games. The studio has run Early Access campaigns before, and it chose the same path here so that player feedback could shape the game while it is still being built. This page covers what Early Access means for Farever right now, how long it is expected to last, how pricing will change, and what the developers have said they plan to add over time.
Why Early Access
Shiro Games has said it believes in a development process that brings in player feedback and wishes early. The team wants to work with the community to refine features and make sure the experience is fun and engaging. Joining during Early Access lets players directly influence how Farever develops and help the game reach its full potential. If you are new, start with Getting Started.
Expected Duration
The developers expect Farever to stay in Early Access for about a year. The exact length depends on the feedback players give and how the team's ideas for the game progress. The stated goal is to reach a high standard of quality and depth of content before the full 1.0 release, and to take the time needed to get there.
Current State of the Build
The Early Access version includes the core gameplay mechanics and features described on the store page, and it is fully playable. The developers describe it as a balanced and stable game with a solid foundation, ready to be explored and enjoyed. They also note that some non-blocking bugs can occur because of how early features are integrated, which is normal for a game still in active development.
The build now covers three regions of Siagarta, the four starting classes (Warrior, Mage, Rogue, and Priest), character progression toward the current level cap, six gathering and crafting professions, twelve dungeons, party play, and chat. For the systems behind all of this, see Combat System, Attributes and Progression, Professions and Crafting, and Multiplayer and Co-Op.
Pricing During and After Early Access
The developers plan to gradually increase the price when Farever reaches its 1.0 release, depending on the additional content and features added by then. The idea is that the price would reflect the expanded scope and improved quality of the game as development continues. In other words, buying during Early Access locks in the current entry price before that gradual increase.
Community Involvement
Shiro Games has said it plans to stay active on its Discord server and the Steam forums, and that it values suggestions, bug reports, and general community feedback. Upcoming changes are meant to be discussed with the community for early input. The team also plans to run surveys and organize events to gather opinions, so that the game evolves in a direction that reflects what players want. You can use the in-game feedback and report tool to send bug reports directly to the developers.
Planned Roadmap
Everything in this section is planned, not currently in the game. These are the categories of additions the developers have outlined for the road to 1.0, to be detailed further through roadmaps published over time. Treat the list as direction rather than a fixed schedule, since exact timing and wording can change.
First Major Update (Late June 2026)
The developers have confirmed that the first Major Update is targeted for the end of June 2026. They have said it will introduce a new region, a raised level cap, new weapons, new dungeons, new bosses, and new activities, with further details revealed over the course of the month. The team is teasing the new region piece by piece across June: an earlier post shared a concept art of a region boss and a screenshot of the map, and a later post highlighted the region's music with a short musical snippet and showed a concept art of a new companion. The developers have also scheduled a dedicated showcase stream for June 18, 2026, where the game director and community manager will present gameplay from the next region, followed by a community question-and-answer session. Shiro Games has since officially named the new region Ramburg and revealed the update as The Nightling Update. As with everything below, treat this as announced direction until it actually ships in the live build.
Update: on June 18, 2026 the developers detailed this update as The Nightling Update and launched it as a playable preview on June 23 in a separate Public Test Branch, ahead of the full live-server release. The headline addition is the Rifts, a recurring world event in which portals to the demonic world of Niflel open across Siagarta every few hours. Up to 16 players can take on escalating waves of Nightling demons and the unique bosses that close each event, called Nightkings.
The new region, Ramburg, is a city where players battle through the Lower City, investigate a towering Cathedral, and uncover the secrets surrounding the feared High Inquisitor Chakram, meeting monks, soldiers, zealots, and inquisitors along the way. The first preview phase opens two sub-regions of Ramburg, the Barracks dungeon, and the Rifts with their first boss; an additional dungeon, a second Rift boss, currencies, rewards, new weapons, and job recipes are scheduled to arrive later during the test. Because all of this currently lives on a test branch and is still being balanced, treat it as a preview rather than finished live content.
The Nightling Update shipped to the live servers on July 15, 2026 as version 0.2.0. It added the Rifts world event, the new region of Ramburg with its Crimson Barracks dungeon and the High Inquisitor Chakram boss, the Demon Hunter merchant, a raised level cap of 25, new weapons, over fifty collectibles, new recipes for every profession, and quality-of-life features such as hiding equipment and a spectator camera. See the Nightling Update for the full breakdown.

The Next Update
On August 7, 2026 the developers narrowed the list above down to what the next update itself will carry. It adds a new difficulty to the dungeons already in the game, better location tools including a compass, and more social and communication features. The team said further additions would follow and be detailed in due time. None of this is in the live build yet, so treat it as announced direction rather than current content; in the meantime the developers suggested using the summer to level characters and settle on a build.
The two starting regions and the twelve launch dungeons are live now, joined by the Ramburg region and the Rifts from the Nightling Update; the items above are the planned future. For the running list of what has already been delivered patch by patch, see Update History. For how grouping and shared worlds work today, see Multiplayer and Co-Op.
