Farever entered Steam Early Access on May 6, 2026, and the developers at Shiro Games began patching quickly afterward. This page tracks the dated updates and the key developer communications from launch onward. Versions are listed oldest to newest. Because the game is in Early Access, patches arrive frequently, and this log focuses on the headline changes for each release.

Developer Communications
Alongside the patches, the developers have shared a number of update posts that are not patches themselves. The earliest explained the team's focus while servers and systems were stabilizing after launch; a later one highlighted the community and offered a sneak peek of the upcoming content update.
Post | Date | Summary |
|---|---|---|
Our Priority | May 7, 2026 | Laid out the post-launch priorities: the party system tied to Steam invites, performance and server stability and latency across all regions, and gamepad control bindings |
Our work on servers | May 12, 2026 | A technical recap of post-launch server work, including database and load-balancing improvements and fixes for issues that were affecting stability |
Community Highlight and Update Sneak Peek #1 | June 4, 2026 | Spotlighted the post-launch community (fan art and screenshots, with an in-game tip to press F2 to hide the UI) and gave a second sneak peek of the next content update: the upcoming new region's music and a concept art of a new companion. Reaffirmed that the first Major Update arrives toward the end of June with a raised level cap, new weapons, dungeons, bosses, and activities |
Major Update showcase stream | June 12, 2026 | Announced a dedicated showcase stream set for June 18, 2026, where the game director and community manager would present gameplay from the next region of Siagarta, followed by a community question-and-answer session. The region, later revealed as Ramburg, was not yet named at this point. |
The Nightling Invasion | Major Update Preview | June 18, 2026 | Detailed the first Major Update, The Nightling Update, and announced its playable preview for June 23. The post officially named the new region Ramburg and introduced the Rifts world event: mysterious portals to the wicked world of Niflel that open across Siagarta every few hours, support up to 16 players, and end in unique bosses called Nightkings. |
The Nightling Update | Playable Preview | June 23, 2026 | Launched the Major Update as a playable preview on a newly created Public Test Branch (Steam library, Properties, Betas). Existing characters carry over but progress independently on the branch. The first preview phase includes two sub-regions of Ramburg, the Barracks dungeon, and the Rifts with the first Rift boss; an additional dungeon, a second Rift boss, currencies, rewards, new weapons, and job recipes are set to follow during the test. Merchants sell all weapons and armour during the preview and legendary loot is disabled. |
Community Highlight #2 | July 3, 2026 | Highlighted community fan art and content creators during the Nightling Update preview, and gave a status update on the Rifts. The Playable Preview stayed available while the team polished the event, with the rules for how Rifts work set to change the following week. The developers said they would share dedicated Rift details soon and, if testing went well, lock a live-release date. As of this post, the Major Update had not yet reached the live servers. |
The Nightling Invasion: Out on July 15th | July 7, 2026 | Confirmed that the Nightling Update will reach the live servers on July 15, 2026 and thanked preview testers for their feedback. A same-day public test patch (v0.1.9.27826-public-test) reworked the Rifts on the test branch: they now open about once an hour with a fifteen-minute warning, and clearing one becomes a timed run to close as many demon gates as possible before the boss appears. The patch also previewed the Rift reward resources (Demonic Souls, Nightblood, and Soulstones), a Demon Hunter merchant in Ramburg who trades those resources for mounts, gliders, companions, gear, and upgrades, and Soulstones that summon tougher Nightlords in hidden corners of Siagarta. The team said the live release would add another Rift boss, new weapons including a two-handed sword, the High Inquisitor Chakram, and a new Sigil upgrade type. Because this all runs on the test branch, treat it as a preview until the update goes live. |
The first Major Update, The Nightling Update, became playable on a Public Test Branch on June 23, 2026 ahead of a full live-server release later confirmed for July 15, 2026. It centers on the Rifts (a recurring world event against demons pouring in from Niflel) and the new region of Ramburg. Because it runs on a separate test branch rather than the live servers, treat its contents as a preview that is still being balanced rather than finished live content.
With v0.1.6 the team described the initial "post-release" wave of heavy stabilizing patches as concluded, shifting focus toward the first content update. Because Farever is still in active development, expect this list to grow with each new patch. For the bigger picture of what is planned beyond these fixes, see Early Access and Roadmap.
