Overview
Woman in White is the final main quest of Chapter 1: The First Encounter in Crimson Desert. After restoring balance to the Abyss, Kliff meets White Crow the Witch at the Ethereal Pathway. She reveals herself as the guardian of the Abyss and cosmic order, then grants Kliff the Flight ability. Kliff uses this new power to leap from the Abyss cliffs and glide back to the City of Hernand. Completing this quest unlocks Chapter 2: Golden Greed.

Walkthrough
Speak with White Crow
The quest begins immediately after Abyss Without Balance. Walk forward along the Ethereal Pathway. A cutscene triggers where White Crow the Witch reveals her identity. She explains that she is the guardian of the Abyss and protector of cosmic order. She has been watching Kliff's journey and deems him worthy of the Flight ability. She grants it to him during the conversation.
Leap from the Abyss
After the cutscene, Kliff stands at the edge of a cliff overlooking the land below. Alustin appears briefly to reassure Kliff that the jump is safe. Walk to the edge and leap off. During the fall, a quick-time event triggers: press Square (PlayStation) or X (Xbox) to deploy the Flight ability.
Glide to Hernand
Once Flight activates, Kliff spreads wings of energy and begins gliding. Manage your stamina carefully during the descent. Stamina drains while gliding and needs to recharge if depleted. The camera is generally forgiving and points you toward the City of Hernand below. Aim for the town and land safely.
Return to Hernand
After landing, you are back in the City of Hernand. The quest completes and Chapter 1: The First Encounter concludes. Chapter 2: Golden Greed becomes available, beginning with the quest "Where the Light Leads."
Flight Ability Details
Flight is one of the most useful traversal abilities in the game. Key details:
Activate Flight by pressing the designated button while airborne (after jumping from a ledge or high point).
Stamina drains while gliding. When it runs out, Kliff drops and the ability needs time to recharge.
Flight can be used from any high point in the open world, not just Abyss locations.
Combine Flight with the Abyss Nexus fast travel system for efficient long-distance travel.
Tips
Watch your stamina gauge during the glide. If you run out mid-air over a dangerous area, you take fall damage. Aim for the town early and glide at a gentle downward angle.
The QTE to deploy Flight has a generous timing window, but do not miss it or Kliff will fall without wings.
Shai's Pendant from Heart Beyond Borders upgrades to the Shining Shai Pendant during this quest. Check your inventory to confirm you received it.
After completing this quest, the full open world opens up significantly. Consider returning to any Sealed Abyss Artifacts or side quests you skipped before moving to Chapter 2.

White Crow's Revelation
When Kliff meets White Crow at the Ethereal Pathway, she provides the most explicit explanation of her role so far. She describes herself as "a guardian of the Abyss and a protector of the cosmic order." She has been monitoring Kliff's actions throughout Chapter 1 and considers his willingness to help strangers (the Trials of Kindness) proof that he is worthy of the Flight ability. This is the first time White Crow appears in her true form rather than disguised as a bird or a bound noblewoman.

Gliding to Hernand
The glide from the Abyss cliffs to the City of Hernand is a scripted sequence, but you still have control over your descent angle and direction. Aim toward the city early and maintain a gentle downward angle to maximize the distance covered before stamina depletes. The camera assists by pointing you roughly toward Hernand, but steering manually ensures a clean landing.
