Overview
The ancient generator puzzle is part of the Kiln Repair at the Kilnden Workshop main quest in Chapter 4 of Crimson Desert. You need to align four yellow symbols on a Kiln tower vertically from top to bottom. The puzzle uses two controls: a yellow switch that selects which ring moves, and a wooden lever that rotates the selected ring.
How the Puzzle Works
The Kiln tower has multiple concentric rings, each bearing a yellow glowing symbol. A yellow switch at the front of the tower controls which ring is active. Use D-Pad Left/Right to cycle through rings with the yellow switch, then push the wooden lever to rotate the active ring into position.
The top and bottom symbols are already in their correct positions. You only need to adjust the two middle rings.
Solution (4 Moves)
Select the 2nd ring. Push the yellow lever all the way to the right to highlight the 2nd ring from the top.
Align the 2nd symbol. Push the wooden lever to the right. The 2nd symbol should line up directly below the first yellow symbol.
Select the 3rd ring. Push the yellow lever to the middle position to highlight the 3rd ring.
Align the 3rd symbol. Push the wooden lever to the left. The 3rd symbol should slot into place above the bottom symbol.
All four symbols should now be aligned vertically from top to bottom. The generator activates and three new puzzle objectives appear in the surrounding area.
Troubleshooting
If you moved the rings into incorrect positions before reading this guide, reload the most recent autosave. The puzzle resets to its default state.
Make sure you are interacting with the yellow switch (D-Pad Left/Right) to change the active ring before pushing the wooden lever. Pushing the lever without selecting the right ring will misalign a different symbol.
