How to Obtain
Purchased from Witch merchants, particularly those in colder regions. Can drop from ice-element enemies.

Usage and Strategy
Socket Frostward I into any compatible equipment piece (Armor) to gain its Ice Resistance Lv 1 bonus. The effect is always active as long as the core remains socketed and the equipment is worn.
Tips
Swap this core in before ice boss fights or cold-weather exploration, then replace it with a more general-purpose core afterward.
The resistance also reduces the slow effect from Frostbite, which can be the difference between escaping a follow-up attack and getting combo-locked.
