Walkthrough
Speak with Marquis Serkis
Travel to Oakenshield Manor in the City of Hernand. A giant guard stands outside the building. Approach him to trigger a cutscene where Serkis thanks Kliff for handling the Goldenleaves faction and offers Howling Hill as a base for the Greymanes.
Before leaving the manor, look for a Memory Fragment near the western end of the long table. Activate your lantern to reveal it. This is an optional collectible.
Follow the Soldier
Exit the manor and a soldier will begin walking ahead of you toward the southeast. Follow him on foot until he mounts a horse.
Follow the Soldier on Horseback
Call your mount and ride behind the soldier as he leads you to Howling Hill. During the ride, the soldier provides some exposition about the city's gratitude and mentions that the Goldenleaves faction under Shakatu's new leadership is working to rebuild trust.
Speak with Marshal Middler
Dismount at Howling Hill and approach the group gathered at the campsite. Marshal Barden Middler introduces himself and presents Damiane Spencer, who is seeking temporary refuge due to personal troubles in Demeniss. Damiane becomes a playable character after this cutscene.
Notes
The Memory Fragment at the manor table is easy to miss. Use your lantern (L1/LB) to spot it before leaving.
Damiane has her own combat style and questlines that become available later.
This quest formally establishes the Greymane Camp, which serves as your home base for the rest of Chapter 3 and beyond.
The mount Brianto is added to your stable automatically after the quest completes.
