Church Vendors
A complete guide to all 10 church shop locations in Crimson Desert, covering merchant names, available items, and prices. Churches are the only places to buy Holy Water, a key ingredient for crafting Platinum.

Churches in Crimson Desert serve two purposes: they are places of worship tied to the Church of Solumen faith, and they operate small shops that sell items unavailable at standard merchant stalls. Church vendors stock Holy Water and Small Bags, both of which are exclusive to religious locations and cannot be bought at smithies, provisioners, or general goods merchants.
There are 10 church shop locations spread across the continent of Pywel. Nine of the ten sell the same two-item inventory: a Small Bag for 50 copper and Holy Water for 300 copper each. The tenth location, the Cathedral of Demeniss Contribution Shop, is a specialized vendor that sells Contribution accessories in exchange for Contribution Points rather than copper.
Because Holy Water is a required ingredient for crafting Platinum, one of the rarest and most valuable crafting materials in the game, keeping a stockpile from multiple church locations is a practical early habit. Whenever you pass through a new town, look for the church and spend a few copper stocking up.
The table below lists every church shop in Crimson Desert. Each entry shows the location name, the merchant assigned to the shop, the number of items stocked, and what those items cost.

Prices are listed in copper. Nine of the ten churches charge 50 copper for a Small Bag and 300 copper for Holy Water. The Cathedral of Demeniss Contribution Shop operated by Lowell uses Contribution Points instead of copper and does not sell Holy Water or Small Bags.
Holy Water is classified as a Special Material in the crafting and refinement system. It sells for 300 copper at every standard church vendor and is only available from church vendors. No other merchant type carries it.
Holy Water is a required ingredient for crafting Platinum. The Platinum recipe calls for 2 Holy Water, 1 Gold Bar, 4 Brimstone, and 3 Mercury, refined at a Witch NPC. Platinum is one of the highest-value crafting materials in the game, making Holy Water worth stocking whenever you pass a church.
Small Bags sell for 50 copper at every standard church vendor. They are used as containers or crafting components in various recipes. Like Holy Water, they are a church-exclusive item and cannot be purchased from general merchants or smithies.
The Cathedral of Demeniss Contribution Shop, run by Lowell, sells two unique accessories that cannot be obtained anywhere else:
Item | Cost (Contribution Points) | Type |
|---|---|---|
25 | Accessory (Ring) | |
27 | Accessory (Necklace) |
These items cost Contribution Points, not copper or silver. Contribution Points are earned through faction activities in the Demeniss region. For a full breakdown of how to earn them and what else the Demeniss Contribution system offers, see Demeniss Contribution Shop.
Churches appear in major towns and settlements across Pywel. They are tied to the Church of Solumen faith and typically occupy a prominent building near the town center. Look for bell towers or spire-topped structures when exploring a new settlement for the first time.
The Demeniss area has the highest concentration of church shops, with three separate vendors: the Cathedral of Demeniss (Uriel), the Cathedral of Demeniss Contribution Shop (Lowell), and the East Demeniss Church (Uriel) and West Demeniss Church (Bernhard). The Church of Calphade in the northern Hernand region is worth visiting early, as it is one of the first churches most players encounter outside the starting area.
The Church of Hernand is operated by Kendall and is located near Hillside Manor inside the City of Hernand. It also has a confessional sub-area with a separate NPC named Alfred. Kendall is the standard goods vendor at the church, while Alfred handles the confessional.
Always check a church when entering a new town. Holy Water is easy to overlook because church vendors are separate from the general merchant cluster, but skipping them means missing the only source of this crafting material.
Buy at least 4 to 6 Holy Water at a time. The Platinum recipe needs 2 per bar, and having extras ready saves you a return trip when you need to craft in bulk.
Small Bags are cheap at 50 copper each. If you have free inventory space, pick up several whenever you visit a church.
The Calphade Church vendor Eustace is one of the earliest accessible church shops. Visit during your first pass through the northern Hernand region to start stockpiling Holy Water before you reach the crafting stages of the game that require Platinum.
The Cathedral of Demeniss Contribution Shop (Lowell) sells accessories for Contribution Points. These are separate from the regular Holy Water vendor (Uriel) at the same cathedral, so both vendors are worth visiting when you reach Demeniss.
Church vendors do not appear to have limited stock on Holy Water or Small Bags. You can purchase as many as you need per visit.
