Banana is a Coastal Jungle fruit growing on palm trees along beaches and other coastal terrain. Banana Seeds drop from Banana trees as well as Palm, Ficus, and Shrub vegetation, making the seed supply forgiving in the starter biome.

How to Get

• Harvest wild palm trees along Coastal Jungle beaches and coastal areas.

• Gather Banana Seeds from Banana trees, Palm trees, Ficus, and Shrubs.

• Plant at a Seedbed at base for sustainable supply (Seedbed requires Fertile Soil from Foothills Ancient Farms).

Farming

Banana Sapling is the plantable form of Banana. It can only be sown in a Seedbed for Plants, which itself requires Fertile Soil to craft. After planting a single seed the crop matures in 1h 10m of real-time growth, then yields the outputs listed in the harvest table below. Replanting is self-sustaining: every harvest refunds at least one seed.

Quantities below are the per-harvest ranges at 100% chance. The seed drop refunds the planting cost, so a single sapling produces a net gain on every cycle.

Farming Notes

• Unlike ground trees such as Palm and Ficus, Banana cannot be planted on open ground; it occupies a Seedbed slot, so it competes with other food and alchemy crops for space.

• The high 3 to 5 yield per harvest means even a single slot keeps the Cooking recipes above well supplied.
