The Executioner is a Rare-tier halberd in Windrose that grants stacking Rage bonuses on kill, making it one of the strongest melee options for builds that can maintain a high kill cadence. It is available relatively early, either as a craftable recipe at the Weaponsmith Workshop or as a loot drop from a shipwreck chest.
Stats
Attribute | Value |
|---|---|

Scaling | Strength |
Base ATK | 100 |
Base damage | 335 Crude |
Special Effect: Rage
Each enemy killed grants a Rage stack that increases Critical Hit Chance by 10%. Rage stacks up to three times for a maximum of +30% Critical Hit Chance. The Epic-tier ascended version adds Ward, a 15% Damage Resistance buff that layers on top of the crit bonus, creating a snowball where killing enemies makes the next fight significantly easier.
Acquisition
Method | Details |
|---|---|
Craft | 10 Wood + 7 Copper Ingots at the Weaponsmith Workshop |
Loot | Decrepit Chest in a northwestern shipwreck on the second island (unrepairable wreck during I Need a Bigger Boat questline) |
Build Synergy
The Executioner rewards a Crusher talent-branch build invested in Strength. The Crusher tier-1 talents Bonecrusher (+3-9% crude damage) and Massive (+5-10% two-handed damage) stack with Rage's critical chance to produce lopsided damage output against grouped enemies. Pair with a Strength food buff (Spicy Chicken with Sweet Potato or Seasoned Crocodile Meat for +20 Strength) before engagements to maximize base damage before the crit multiplier.
Tactical Notes
Rage stacks do NOT reset on taking damage, only on death
Halberds have long reach, which lets you start stacking Rage on trash mobs before closing on priority targets
Crude damage is particularly effective against Skeleton and undead enemies in the Ashlands and Cursed Swamps
Ascend to Epic with Tumbaga Ingots to unlock the Ward damage-resistance passive
