Cookware Shelf is a mid-tier crafting attachment for the Cooking Fire in Windrose. It further expands cooking recipes beyond what the Cutting Table provides.
Recipe
Property | Value |
|---|---|
Recipe | 10 Hardwood + 2 Ironware |
Parent Station | Cooking Fire |
Placement Rule | Inside the parent Cooking Fire's Bonfire build radius |
The 2 Ironware requirement gates the Cookware Shelf behind a Level 3 Workbench (which itself requires both Sawhorse and Toolbox attachments). Ironware is crafted from 5 Foothills Iron Ingots, so this is firmly a mid-game attachment rather than an early-game one.
What It Unlocks
The Cookware Shelf adds advanced cooking recipes including many of the stat-buff foods that use Ironware containers, extended-duration buff dishes, and the Foothills-biome ingredient set. This is the attachment that takes the Cooking Fire from "early meals with stat buffs" into "mid-game buff stacks that carry through boss fights."
Why Hardwood Matters
The 10 Hardwood requirement is also biome-gated: Hardwood is a Foothills-tier wood that requires a Copper Pickaxe or better to chop. This puts the Cookware Shelf in the same progression window as the first Foothills expedition, which is usually also when Ironware comes online.
