Overview
Lime is a Foothills citrus ingredient harvested from lime trees. On the Resources page the lime trees are described as always found near the giant unchoppable trees, which is the reliable visual landmark for lime-tree clusters in the biome. It is a lightweight, deep-stacking ingredient used across several cooked dishes and drinks.
How to Get
Look for giant unchoppable trees in the Foothills. Lime trees cluster near them.
Harvest limes directly from the tree; Lime Seeds may drop alongside the fruit.
Once you have seeds, plant a Lime Sapling at base for a renewable supply instead of returning to the wild trees.

Farming
Lime Sapling is the plantable form of Lime. It grows on the open ground rather than in a Seedbed for Plants, so it does not compete with seedbed slots at a base. It matures in 1h 10m of real-time growth, then yields the outputs listed in the harvest table below. Replanting is self-sustaining: every harvest refunds at least one seed.
Planting
Planting requirements for open-ground placement. The ground variant can be clustered densely in an outdoor grove because it does not consume seedbed slots, which makes Lime one of the easiest food ingredients to mass-produce at home.
