Boar Whistle is a Legendary miscellaneous consumable in Windrose that summons a pet Boar to fight alongside the player for a short duration. It is the base tier in the whistle family; an upgraded Mighty Boar Whistle summons a tougher variant of the same pet.
"Say hello to my little boar."

How It Works
Blowing the whistle spawns the pet boar at the player's position. The summon follows the player and attacks whatever the player engages. When its duration expires, the pet despawns and the whistle is consumed. Summons do not count against the food or drink buff slots, so whistles can be used on top of any other pre-fight loadout.

Documentation Status
The Boar Whistle is confirmed in both the windrose-db and windrose.gaming.tools item databases (database ID cid_misc_spawnerboar_l1_t01). Its confirmed properties are Legendary rarity, Miscellaneous category, and a short-duration summon effect. Beyond those baselines, specific parameters are not cleanly documented by multiple sources:
Exact summon duration: described as "a short time" in both databases; no seconds value is exposed.
Pet boar HP and damage: not documented. The pet appears to scale with the player's area and survives roughly one engagement before despawning.
Recipe / how to obtain: not cleanly documented across two or more guides. Most sources describe it as looted or quest-reward content rather than crafted at a known station.
Tactical Use
In practice, the Boar Whistle is used to create a brief distraction in combat. The summoned boar will aggro nearby wildlife and weaker hostile NPCs, giving the player a window to flank, reload, or retreat. Because summons do not count against the two food buff slots, whistles can be stacked on top of any pre-fight food + elixir loadout without opportunity cost.
