Overview
Wheat is a farmable crop in Pokemon Pokopia and the base ingredient for all six bread recipes. Bread powers up the Cut transformation, making Wheat one of the most valuable crops for players who rely on Cut for resource gathering.
How to Obtain
Farming: Wheat seeds become available in Rocky Ridges. Plant seeds on tilled soil using the Rototiller move, then water with Water Gun to speed growth.
Pokemon gifts: Some Pokemon in Rocky Ridges may give Wheat as a gift when spoken to.
Poke Balls: Found inside item Poke Balls scattered around Rocky Ridges.
How to Get Seeds
Given by Pokemon in Rocky Ridges (south of the area, past the Pokemon Center)
Found in red Poke Balls and water surface sparkles in Rocky Ridges
Purchasable at the PC Shop for 50 Life Coins per 5 bags
Growing Conditions
Requires the Rototiller ability (learned from Drilbur) to prepare soil.
Must be watered using Water Gun (unlike Beans which grow without watering).
Pokemon with the Grow specialty (Bulbasaur, Rowlet) speed up growth.
Wheat regrows after harvesting, so you do not need to replant.
Harvest with the Cut move; hold Y to bulk-collect.
Uses
Wheat is the primary ingredient for all Bread recipes. Eating Bread powers up the Cut move, allowing you to slice through metal grates, cut from a distance, and harvest crops faster. Wheat is also required for the Team Initiation Challenge (10 Wheat).
Farming Tips
Lead a Pokemon with the Grow specialty near your wheat fields to accelerate growth.
Use Cut to harvest entire wheat patches at once instead of picking each one individually.
Running water between crop rows keeps the soil permanently hydrated.
