The Pet Shop (officially labeled Pets - Tailor's Shop in-game) is a specialty vendor in Crimson Desert that sells cosmetic outfits and armor for pet dogs and cats. The primary shop, known as Milou's Tailor Shop, is located inside Pororin Forest Village in the southern Demeniss region. A second, smaller tailor shop can be found southwest of Demeniss Castle.
All pet cosmetics are purely aesthetic. They do not provide any stat bonuses or gameplay advantages. Pets are entirely immune to damage during combat and do not participate in fights, so the armor is strictly for visual customization. Every item in both shops costs 2.40 Silver each.
Two conditions must be met before the Pet Tailor's Shop becomes available:
You must first tame a pet by raising a stray dog or cat's trust to 100, then registering it as a permanent companion. Without a registered pet in your roster, the tailor shops will not appear at their respective locations. See the Pet Taming Guide for full details on building trust and registering pets.
Pororin Forest Village is initially inaccessible. The village is guarded by Shai children who will tranquilize and remove any outsiders who attempt to enter. You must complete the following quest chain to gain permanent access:
The Unreachable Village - This quest triggers automatically when you visit the Pororin Forest area south of Hernand. After being turned away multiple times, speak with Arkin and a group of Shai near the village entrance. They ask you to retrieve the village chief's hat, which has been taken by Offin, a massive Windwood Spirit (a giant walking tree) roaming the forest.
Authorized Access - Climb up to the top of Offin and retrieve the Relic of Pororin (the chief's hat) from its head. Return the relic to the Shai at the tree stump. Completing this quest grants you unrestricted access to Pororin Forest Village.
Climbing Offin can be challenging due to stamina limitations. Rather than climbing the creature's legs directly, look for nearby cliffs and high ground that let you glide or jump onto its trunk. One or two stamina upgrades make the climb significantly easier.
The main Pet Tailor's Shop is located in the northern section of Pororin Forest Village. Look for a stone house with plants growing on its roof. This shop carries the full selection of pet cosmetics for both dogs and cats.
A second, smaller Pet Tailor's Shop is located southwest of Demeniss Castle in the Demeniss region. This shop carries a limited selection of items, stocking only dog armor (Puppy Plate Helm, Puppy Plate Armor, and Rescue Puppy Outfit). Note that soldiers in Demeniss may be hostile toward you during the early chapters of the story, which can make visiting this shop difficult until later in the game.
Patch 1.04 added a separate, secret pet equipment shop tucked away in Pororin. This vendor is distinct from Milou's Tailor Shop described above and focuses on the expanded pet gear category that arrived with the accessory slot update. Think of Milou's as the long-standing outfit tailor for dogs and cats, and the new secret shop as a supplementary stockist that carries the fresh wave of pet-equipment items introduced in the patch.
The shop's exact storefront is not flagged on the world map, so plan on wandering the village to find it rather than fast-travelling to a named marker. Explore Pororin's side alleys and quieter corners once you have completed the village access quest chain. Because access to Pororin is already gated behind the Unreachable Village and Authorized Access questline covered above, any Kliff who can reach Milou's can reach this vendor too; no extra keys or reputation are required beyond village entry.
This is also the go-to stop for the new Sigil of Bonding accessory, which slots into the freshly added pet accessory slot and extends how long a cat will ride on your shoulder. Pair a visit here with a trip to Milou's to kit out both the cosmetic outfit slots and the new behavioural accessory in a single swing through the village.
If you are curious about broader pet-gear lineups, cross-check your stock with the All Pet Outfits and All Pet Helms catalogue pages, which list every known dog and cat cosmetic piece alongside their vendor source. For a general primer on what equipment slots your companions can fill, see Pet Equipment.
Both shops sell pet cosmetics across three equipment categories: Headgear, Body Armor, and Full Outfits. Milou's Tailor Shop in Pororin has the complete inventory, while the Demeniss shop only carries the three dog items marked below.

After purchasing an item from the Pet Tailor's Shop, follow these steps to equip it on your companion:
Open your Inventory menu.
Switch to the Pets tab at the top of the inventory screen.
Select the pet you want to dress (dog or cat).
Choose the purchased armor or outfit from your inventory.
Select Equip to apply the cosmetic to your pet.
You can mix and match headgear and body armor pieces, or equip a full outfit that covers both slots. To remove a cosmetic, simply unequip it from the same Pets tab.
Item Preview Glitch - There is a known bug where item previews do not display correctly before purchase. The cosmetic may appear distorted or invisible in the shop preview window. Despite the broken preview, the item will equip and display normally once purchased and applied to your pet.
Patch 1.04 reshaped several things about how you shop for pet gear and how pets themselves are equipped. A quick summary of the relevant updates for this page:
Secret pet equipment shop added in Pororin. A new vendor carrying additional pet gear now exists inside Pororin. This is a separate shop from Milou's Tailor Shop, so both are worth visiting. Exact coordinates and the shopkeeper's name are not flagged on the world map, so comb the village's side streets to locate it.
Pet accessory slot introduced. Pets gained a new accessory slot alongside their existing headgear and body-armor cosmetic slots. The accessory slot lets you change pet behaviour rather than just appearance, which widens the role your companion plays during exploration.
Sigil of Bonding accessory. The Sigil of Bonding is an accessory that equips into the new pet slot. When applied to a cat, it extends how long the cat stays perched on your shoulder, which restores the earlier always-on-shoulder behaviour that a separate bug fix in the same patch otherwise cut short.
Wider pet-equipment lineup. The patch broadened the pet-gear category overall. Expect more items to filter into this shop and the supplementary secret shop over time as the developer continues to round out the pet system.
Related shop additions. The same patch added new outfits to the Back Alley Shop (for player characters, not pets) and a second pet vendor in Pororin as noted above. If you are patch-hunting, plan a combined run through Pororin for pet gear and the back alley for new character outfits.
For the full version-by-version rundown of everything that shipped with 1.04, see the Patch Notes page. See Pets and the Pet Taming Guide for the broader system context around companions, taming trust, and registration.
In addition to the stationary tailor shops covered above, Patch 1.04 introduced a roaming pet merchant who travels the streets of Pororin Forest Village rather than keeping a fixed stall. This vendor stocks the newest wave of pet-equipment items introduced with the patch, including the single most sought-after accessory for cat owners.
Lacey is a wandering merchant who was added to Pororin Forest Village in patch 1.04. Rather than standing behind a counter, she walks the main road that encircles the village, so the best way to find her is to travel that loop until her interaction prompt appears. The most reliable way to identify her among the other traveling traders in the area is the large backpack she carries on her back.
Lacey's inventory focuses on two items that matter for pet handlers. She carries the Palmar Pill as a consumable healing option alongside her main draw, the Sigil of Bonding, a brand-new pet-equipment accessory that is otherwise difficult to source. Because she roams, her stock is effectively mobile, and any player who has already cleared the Pororin access quest chain can reach her the same way they reach Milou's Tailor Shop.
The Sigil of Bonding is a pet-equipment item that slots into the pet accessory slot. When equipped on a tamed cat, the cat rides permanently on the player's shoulder. The key change from prior shoulder-perch behavior is that the cat no longer flinches off when the player runs, sprints, or fights. The only moment the cat leaves its perch is a brief hop down to retrieve loot, after which it returns to the shoulder on its own.
The Sigil of Bonding applies to cat companions specifically and does not affect dog or bird companions. For dogs and other ground-following pets, see the main Pet Equipment list. For how to raise a cat's trust to 100 before equipping the Sigil, see the Pet Taming Guide and the Companions overview.
Vendor | Location | Notable Items |
|---|---|---|
Milou's Tailor Shop | Northern section of Pororin Forest Village | Full dog and cat cosmetic outfit and armor inventory (9 items) |
Demeniss Tailor's Shop | Southwest of Demeniss Castle | Dog cosmetics only: Puppy Plate Helm, Puppy Plate Armor, Rescue Puppy Outfit |
Secret Pet Equipment Shop | Hidden side area inside Pororin Forest Village | Expanded Pet Equipment items introduced with the accessory slot update |
Roams the main road encircling Pororin Forest Village; identifiable by her backpack | Sigil of Bonding (cat shoulder grip accessory); Palmar Pill (healing consumable) |
Patch 1.04 ships two companion-positioning items that can be used together to customize exactly where each kind of pet rides on the player. Both items are worth picking up for any serious pet collector: one lives in the player's headgear slot, the other in the pet's accessory slot, so they do not conflict and can be equipped simultaneously.
Sigil of Bonding (pet accessory slot) keeps a tamed cat perched on the player's shoulder permanently, even through sprinting, rolling, and combat. Sold by Lacey in Pororin Forest Village. See the Lacey entry above for sourcing details.
The Pororin Petal Hat (player headgear) changes where small flying companions land. With the hat equipped, smaller birds such as a tamed crow touch down on the hat's floral crown instead of the player's shoulder or hand. Larger legendary flying companions such as the Phoenix continue to perch on the arm, because the hat is too small to support them.
Together, the pair covers both sides of the visual: a cat glued to the shoulder and a bird perched on the head. The Sigil of Bonding is the cat half, the Pororin Petal Hat is the small-bird half, and they are designed to be stacked.
For broader pet management, pet menu navigation, and dismissing or renaming pets, see Companions and Companion Trust. For the full pet-equipment catalogue across all slots, see Pet Equipment.
Visit Milou's Tailor Shop in Pororin rather than the Demeniss shop if you want cat cosmetics, since only Milou's carries the full inventory.
You do not need to own a cat specifically to browse cat items, or a dog to see dog items. Both categories are visible at the shop once you have any registered pet.
Pet cosmetics are permanent purchases. Once bought, they remain in your inventory and can be equipped or unequipped freely at any time without visiting the shop again.
Since all items cost the same 2.40 Silver, you can collect every outfit in the game for a total of 21.60 Silver across all nine items.
While in Pororin, be sure to check out the Dyehouse and the Research Institute, which are also located in the village.
