A plate armor designed in consideration of a dog's active movements. Durable plates were stacked on top of each other for flexibility, resulting in minimal hindrance even when running vigorously or jumping high. The outfit exudes the dependability of a little knight on a battlefield.
The Puppy Plate Armor is a cosmetic pet equipment item in Crimson Desert that fits into the Pet Outfit slot. It is a suit of miniature plate armor built specifically for dogs, with layered plates stacked on top of each other to allow flexibility during movement. The design ensures that the armor does not hinder the dog even when running at full speed or jumping. When equipped, it gives the pet the dependable look of a little knight on a battlefield.
This outfit is part of the Puppy Plate set, paired with the Puppy Plate Helm. Together, the two pieces transform any dog companion into a fully armored miniature knight. Like all pet equipment in Crimson Desert, the Puppy Plate Armor is purely cosmetic and does not provide any stat bonuses or gameplay advantages. It is one of several outfit options available for dogs, alongside items like the Puppy Cloth Outfit and the Rescue Puppy Outfit.

The layered plate construction is the defining feature of this outfit. Rather than using a single rigid shell, the armor uses multiple overlapping plates that shift with the dog's body. This approach keeps the armor looking sturdy and imposing while still allowing the full range of motion that dogs need during gameplay. The result is a pet that looks battle-ready without being weighed down, fitting the fantasy of a faithful knight companion exploring Pywel alongside its owner.
How to Obtain
The Puppy Plate Armor can be purchased from Milou's Tailor Shop in Pororin Village (Grace Estate, northeastern part of the village). This shop, run by Shai children, carries the largest selection of pet cosmetics in the game. The base price is 240 Copper (2.40 Silver).
To access Pororin Village, players must approach the village entrance three times, triggering The Unreachable Village quest with NPC Arkin. The follow-up quest Authorized Access requires retrieving the Relic of Pororin from Offin, a giant walking tree. Completing both quests grants permanent access to the village and all its shops.
Unlike the Puppy Plate Helm, the Puppy Plate Armor is not available at Remy's shop in Demeniss City. Players who want both pieces of the Puppy Plate set will need to unlock Pororin Village.
The shop may carry additional items as the player builds trust with Milou by gifting preferred items. The Shai shopkeepers are said to enjoy rare flowers, honey candies, and colorful fabrics.
Matching Set
The Puppy Plate Armor belongs to the Puppy Plate set, which consists of two pieces:
When both pieces are equipped together, the dog takes on the full appearance of a miniature plate knight. The helm's white feather plume complements the armor's layered plate design, creating a cohesive medieval knight look for any dog companion.
Other Dog Outfits
Several other outfit options are available for dog pets in Crimson Desert. Each offers a different visual theme:
Players can swap between outfit options at any time through the pet equipment menu. Mixing and matching pieces from different sets is allowed, so players can combine the Puppy Plate Armor with the Puppy Cloth Hat for a unique hybrid look if they prefer.
Tips
The Puppy Plate Armor is purely cosmetic. It does not add defense, health, or any other stat bonuses to your dog.
Pair it with the Puppy Plate Helm for the complete knight set. The helm and armor were designed as a matching pair.
Check tailor shops in different towns if the item is not available at your current location. Vendor stock can vary between settlements.
At 240 Copper, the Puppy Plate Armor is an affordable cosmetic option that can be purchased early in the game.
All dog breeds can wear this outfit, including smaller breeds like the Jindo and larger breeds like the Shepherd. The armor scales to fit each breed's body.
The layered plate design means the armor visually shifts as the dog moves, adding a nice touch of animation detail during gameplay.
