Overview
The Haste Core is an Abyss Core in Crimson Desert that increases the player's Movement Speed when engraved into equipment. It comes in multiple tiers (Haste I, Haste II) with progressively stronger effects. The blueprint for the Haste Core is obtained as a reward from The Missing Seal quest.
Tiers
Tier | Effect | How to Obtain Blueprint |
|---|---|---|
Haste I | Movement Speed Lv 1 | Quest reward from The Missing Seal; also obtainable from the Sliding Down the Slope challenge |
Haste II | Movement Speed Lv 2 | Touch of Darkness challenge |
How to Unlock
Complete The Missing Seal, the 64th main mission in Crimson Desert. This quest is located in the Hernand Region during Chapter 5's "Black and White" sub-chapter. Upon completion, the Witch grants you the Core Blueprint: Haste. Go into your inventory and examine the blueprint to unlock the recipe.
Crafting
Once the blueprint is examined, visit any Witch and select "Craft Abyss Core" from the menu. Abyss Core crafting requires Abyss Cells along with other materials such as reagent insects and gemstones. The exact material combination is displayed in the Witch's crafting interface after unlocking the blueprint.
Abyss Cells are dropped by corrupted Wandershrub variants: creatures that look like bushes or rocks with a glowing Abyss orb attached. Defeating them has a chance to yield Abyss Cells.
How to Equip
After crafting, bring the Haste Core to a Witch and choose the engrave option to slot it into a piece of equipment. Equipment must have an open Abyss Core socket. Witches can also open additional sockets and remove previously engraved cores. See How to Equip Abyss Cores for a full walkthrough.
Tips
Movement Speed is valuable for exploration and kiting enemies in combat. The Haste Core is a strong quality-of-life choice for players who prioritize mobility.
Farm Abyss Cells from corrupted Wandershrubs before visiting the Witch so you can craft immediately.
Haste II offers a higher Movement Speed tier. Pursue the Touch of Darkness challenge once you are strong enough.
Pair with the Gale core (Attack Speed) for a build focused on speed in both movement and combat.
