Purchased from the Smugglers of Port Royal Provisioner at the Smugglers of Port Royal. Each unit costs 20 Piastre, which is double the 10-Piastre price of the Rare-tier base tool sold by the same faction. The pattern holds across all four Improved tool variants.

There is no player-craft path for this item. It is purchased and consumed as a crafting-station unlock rather than produced from raw materials. Players who plan to push a full Epic tier of the associated armor or weapon line should budget 20 Piastre plus reputation time with the Smugglers of Port Royal.

What it Unlocks

Epic-tier metal weapon and armor recipes, layered on top of the Rare-tier Conquistador and Pikeman sets enabled by the base Smithing Flux.

The base-tier tool stays installed alongside the Improved variant; the two do not replace each other. The Improved variant simply adds the Epic-tier recipes to the crafting menu in addition to the Rare-tier ones already enabled.

The base Smithing Flux is what lets a camp craft and upgrade quality metal gear at all: it is consumed one unit at a time in the Conquistador Set and Pikeman Set armor recipes at the Armor and Clothing Workshops, and in weapon work at the weaponsmith bench. The Improved variant extends that same metalworking line to its Epic tier, so it matters most to players pushing the top Armor Tier List and Weapon Tier List gear rather than to early crafters.

Epic metal recipes also lean on the higher ingot tiers, so a camp aiming for this content usually pairs the Improved flux with a Large Smelting Furnace, the only station that can process Mire Metal Ingot. In practice the flux unlocks the recipes while the furnace supplies the metal they need.
