Stat Scaling
The bonus is a flat multiplier on ranged damage, so it compounds with stat investment rather than replacing it. Pistol and Musket draw from Precision, while Blunderbuss draws from Agility. Whichever ranged weapon a build favors, Firearm Training is the same +10% at rank 3 because it ignores damage subtype.
Community Meta
Mandatory for every Marksman build. Stacks with Marksman Set 4P (+15% ranged damage).

Build Role
Firearm Training is the flat ranged-damage backbone. Universal on every Marksman build because the bonus applies to all ranged weapons regardless of subtype.
Pick Order
As a Tier 1 talent with no prerequisite, Firearm Training is normally the first point a ranged build spends. Taking all three ranks early front-loads the +10% across every shot for the whole leveling curve, and it unlocks deeper Marksman tiers faster than spreading points thin. If you switch ranged weapons later, none of these points are wasted because the bonus is weapon-agnostic, so there is no reason to hold them back for a respec at a Bonfire.
Math Example
A Pistol doing 180 Pierce per shot becomes 198 Pierce at rank 3 Firearm Training. A Musket doing 580 Pierce becomes 638. A Blunderbuss with 6 pellets at 65 Pierce each goes from 390 total to 429.
Notes
Stacks additively with Marksman Set 4P (+15% ranged damage) for +25% total flat multiplier.
Does not benefit melee Pierce weapons like Rapier; Deep Impact is the talent that applies in that case.
