Bonecrusher is a talent in the Crusher branch of the Windrose Talent System. It increases damage whenever a hit registers as the Crude damage type, which covers Club and mace swings and a few two-handed weapons. Crude is also the damage type used when mining rocks and ore deposits, so the talent doubles as a gathering boost and earns its keep outside combat. Crude weapons scale with the Strength stat, so Bonecrusher slots naturally into a Strength-focused build.

Community Meta
Mandatory on Clubs and Maces. Situational on Halberds (most are Slash). Trap on Greatswords (pure Slash) and on pure Pierce firearm builds.
Pairs Well With
Executioner's Aim, which rewards hitting staggered or downed targets that heavy Crude weapons knock over.
Momentum, which builds escalating damage across a swing chain and stacks on top of the flat Crude bonus.
Leveling Priority
Bonecrusher sits at Tier 1 of the Crusher branch, so it is reachable from the very first talent points and there is no prerequisite to unlock it. On a Club or mace build, take all three ranks early: the Crude bonus applies to both fighting and gathering, which makes the first points unusually efficient. Windrose allows a free respec, so if you later switch to a Slash or firearm weapon you can pull these points back out without penalty. Confirm a weapon deals Crude on its item card before committing, since most Halberds and all Greatswords deal Slash and gain nothing from this talent.

Build Role
Bonecrusher is the Crude-specific damage layer. Clubs and Maces are the primary beneficiaries; Halberds only gain if the specific halberd variant is Crude (most are Slash).
Math Example
A Sturdy Mace doing 285 Crude per swing becomes 310 Crude at rank 3 Bonecrusher. Over a 10-swing boss phase that is roughly 250 extra total damage, equivalent to shaving one to two swings off the boss health bar. The same percentage applies while mining, so a maxed Bonecrusher also breaks Copper Ore and Foothills Iron Ore nodes a little faster.
Notes
Also applies to the Crude damage used when gathering rocks and ore deposits, so has dual utility outside combat.
Does not apply to Greatswords (pure Slash) or Pierce firearm builds. Check the weapon card before committing points.
