The Fencer branch is one of the four talent trees available to every Windrose character. It covers the one-handed melee and dueling branch, focused on slash damage, critical hits, and stamina-efficient mobility. The branch contains 10 perks distributed across three tiers, with each perk capped at three ranks (one point per rank).
Talents in this branch cost one point per rank. The tier gating matches the Windrose talent planner: Tier 1 perks are available from the start of the branch, Tier 2 unlocks once enough points have been committed to Tier 1, and Tier 3 unlocks once the Tier 2 requirement is met. Branch commitment is flexible; the Talent System article covers respec mechanics and the branch-switching cost.

Opening tier. Any Fencer build touches at least two of these perks on the way to Tier 2.

Fencer pairs with Agility scaling weapons (sabers, rapiers, cutlasses). The branch rewards Perfect Blocks, Perfect Dashes, and consecutive hit chains, so it fits stamina-dense melee play. Deep Cuts, Surgical Cuts, and Quick Strikes provide a damage and crit backbone, while the Perfect Counter and Executioner's Grace capstones reward clean defensive play. Disciplined Fencer and Evasive Fencer are a dual-slot pair: one rewards Perfect Blocks, the other Perfect Dashes, and the planner lets you pick whichever matches your defensive style.
