Cooking stations are kitchens, ovens, and fire pits used to prepare food in Windrose. They handle every recipe from simple rations to elaborate banquet dishes. Each station is a base building piece, so it must be placed inside your camp and kept within Bonfire range to avoid decay before it can be used.
The core of the kitchen is the Cooking Fire, the first station most crews build and the one that actually turns ingredients into meals. The Cutting Table, Cookware Shelf, and Supplies Rack round out a full kitchen setup. For the dishes these stations produce, see Cooking Recipes and the broader Cooking page; for the cooked output itself, see Food.
Comfort
The Cooking Fire contributes a Hearth comfort bonus to the base, while the shelf, cutting, and supply pieces are functional stations with no comfort value of their own. Comfort from a base raises the rest bonus you gain there; the full breakdown of how those bonuses are pooled and capped is covered on the Comfort System page.

Building Tips
Place the Cooking Fire near your storage chests so ingredients are within easy reach, and keep a Supplies Rack stocked so you are not running back to a Wooden Chest mid-cook. As with every placed structure, a fueled Bonfire nearby stops the stations from decaying while your crew is out at sea.
