A reverse triangular roof made of straw at 45 degrees. The Triangular Roof (Straw) is a gable-shaped roof piece that closes the sloped end of a peaked building, the spot a square roof tile cannot fill. It satisfies the roof requirement that craft stations and sheltered NPC merchants need, so a hut topped with these still counts as enclosed.
At 45 degrees it matches the high-pitch peaked roof angle, pairing with the standard Roof (Straw) tiles and the Roof Ridge (Straw) along the same roofline. As a straw-tier piece it is among the cheapest roofing in the game, which makes it ideal for a first shelter before you unlock leaf, tile, or stone tiers.
It snaps onto the Walls beneath it, and like all Building Pieces it returns a full material refund when demolished, so reshaping a gable costs nothing but time.

Double-width straw roof tile for wide spans.
Closes the angled corner where two roof runs meet.
Caps the peak line along the top of the roof.
Decorative facing for the gable front. |
For every roof piece across all four pitch angles and material tiers, see Roofs. The leaf-tier equivalent of this gable is the Triangular Roof (Leaves).
