Utility buildings include torches, fire pits, signs, and small functional pieces that don't fall into any other category in Windrose.
These pieces are placed during base building and cover the odd jobs that keep a camp running: light at night, a way to recover materials, fast travel between sites, and a beacon to call crew back to a Pier. Most cost only Wood, so they are some of the first structures a new captain unlocks.

Function of Each Utility
Every utility serves a single practical purpose. The list below explains what each one does so you can decide which to drop into a layout.
Bonfire: the Bonfire is the camp's central fire. It must stay fueled to keep nearby structures from decaying, and it grants a Hearth comfort bonus.
Disassembly Table: the Disassembly Table breaks crafted items back down to recover part of their materials.
Fast Travel Point: the Fast Travel Point sets up a network node you can warp between once placed. It is unlocked with a Fast Travel Bell.
Floor-Standing Torch: the Floor-Standing Torch is a cheap stationary light source for paths and work areas, contributing to Lighting.
Signal Fire: the Signal Fire is a tall beacon that gives a Pier comfort bonus and helps mark a base from a distance.
Tent: the Tent is a basic shelter that counts as a Bed, letting you set a respawn point early on.
Wharf: the Wharf is a waterside docking fixture for tying up and working at the shoreline.
