Major expansion: comprehensive descriptions for all 10 mainland regions with landmarks, shops, resources, and NPCs; added offshore areas with access methods; expanded Moonlit Forest overview; complete bus stop table with 10 stations; seasonal changes by region; interactive map tips; navigation advice
Starsand Island is divided into 10 named mainland regions, an underground dungeon network called the Moonlit Forest, and several offshore areas. Each region has its own terrain, resources, shops, NPCs, and activities. The in-game phone map app displays region boundaries, building locations, and NPC positions for characters you have met. As of Early Access, the interactive map tracks over 200 discoverable locations across the island.
Regions unlock gradually as you explore. Some areas are gated behind progression milestones or require specific items to access (such as repairing the Damaged Door to reach the Moonlit Forest). The island has a diverse geography ranging from sandy beaches and open meadows to forested highlands, a freshwater lake, and an underground cave system.
The central hub of the island and the social heart of Starsand. Most shops, restaurants, and public buildings are concentrated here. The Community Center serves as the profession certification and Island Life progression hub. The Chrono Arcade offers minigames, and the town square hosts seasonal events throughout the year.

The island's fast travel system consists of 10 bus stations spread across the mainland regions. Each station must be repaired before it can be used. Repair costs vary by station but generally require Stone, Softwood, Hardwood, and sometimes metal ingots. Once repaired, you can travel between any two active stations for a fare of 5 to 30 coins depending on distance.

In addition to buses, teleporters found in the Moonlit Forest camps and certain surface locations provide free instant travel. Vehicles and mounts also speed up travel between regions.
Starsand Island has four seasons (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter) that affect the appearance of regions, available resources, and festival events:
Spring: Cherry blossoms appear around Starsand Town. Spring crops become available at Happiness Seed Shop. Wildflowers bloom across Green Meadow and Flower Corridor.
Summer: Beach Festival at Half-Moon Bay (Summer 27). Beach areas are at their most vibrant. Summer crops and tropical fish become available.
Fall: Maple Reed's foliage turns red and gold. Fall crops and mushrooms are in season. Harvest Festival celebrations take place in Starsand Town.
Winter: Snow covers Bastrom Heights and parts of Cloudrest Lake. Winter-exclusive items appear in shops. Some outdoor resources become unavailable until Spring.
Use the phone map app (Tab on keyboard) to see region boundaries and NPC locations. The map updates as you discover new areas and meet new characters.
Repair bus stops in each region as soon as you visit. Building the full bus network early saves significant travel time.
Activate teleporters in Moonlit Forest camps when you find them. They provide free fast travel to specific underground locations.
The Moonlit Forest is only accessed from Hopeland, not from any other region.
Use the Residents button on the left side of the map to locate any NPC or pet you have previously met.
Offshore areas require Starsand Port to be built first. Complete the port construction quest early to unlock deep-sea fishing and Windflute Island.
Vehicles like the Skateboard and Scooter are faster than walking and help cover the distance between regions that lack direct bus connections.
