Phantom Blade Zero
Phantom Blade Zero is a wuxia action RPG developed and self-published by S-GAME, built on Unreal Engine 5. It launches worldwide on September 9, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store).
Premise
Players control Soul, an elite assassin who once worked for The Order. After being framed for the murder of the Patriarch, Soul is hunted, gravely wounded, and revived by a mystic healer with a temporary cure that gives him only 66 days to expose the conspiracy and confront the figures behind it.

Setting
The game takes place in the Phantom World, a stylised setting drawing on Ming dynasty China and threaded with steampunk machinery, dark fantasy, and horror motifs. The director calls this signature look Kung Fu Punk: traditional kung fu reframed through near-futuristic technology and atmosphere.
Combat at a Glance
Phantom Blade Zero leans into spectacle action rather than soulslike attrition, with a fluidity hands-on previews have repeatedly described as a deadly dance closer to Ninja Gaiden and Devil May Cry than slow stamina trades. Attacks themselves do not cost stamina; only sprinting, dodging, and parrying do.
More than 30 weapons across multiple martial-art classes
Over 20 Phantom Edges that can be mixed with any main weapon
Combo system built around Weapon Switching, Parry and Deflection, Ghost Steps, and the Sha-Chi System
Brutal and Killer Moves finish staggered enemies; Power Surge is the per-blade ultimate
Defeated foes can hand over their signature weapons and techniques
Confirmed Platform Features
PC launches with day-one DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation, plus PC-exclusive ray-traced reflections, ray-traced shadows, and ray-traced caustics on RTX hardware. PlayStation 5 supports hardware ray tracing as well, with public hands-on at CES 2026 confirming a 60 fps target on a base PS5. PS5 Pro adds upgraded textures, models, and lighting.

Release
The September 9, 2026 release was announced at The Game Awards in December 2025. S-GAME chose 9/9 for its symbolic association with the reversal of fate, echoing the in-fiction 66-day countdown.
Reception Before Launch
After Phantom Blade Zero appeared on digital storefronts in December 2025, the title accumulated more than one million wishlists in roughly fifteen days. The CES 2026 build at the Hisense booth, and the gamescom Latam 2026 three-boss public demo, both received broadly positive hands-on impressions. In April 2026, S-GAME announced the project had entered the final stages of development.
