Phantom Blade Zero is an upcoming wuxia action RPG from S-GAME, built in Unreal Engine 5. The game combines traditional wuxia storytelling with fast action gameplay.
Release Date
September 9, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Windows PC (Steam and Epic Games Store).
Story
Players control Soul, an elite assassin who worked for a powerful organization called The Order. Soul gets framed for murdering The Order's patriarch and is badly wounded while being hunted.
A mystic healer saves him with a temporary cure, but Soul has only 66 days to live. He sets out to find who framed him, fighting assassins and uncovering conspiracies along the way.
Setting
The game takes place in the Phantom World, based on Ming dynasty China. The setting mixes wuxia with steampunk, cyberpunk, dark fantasy, and horror.
The director calls this style "kungfupunk" - traditional kung fu combined with futuristic technology.
Gameplay
Combat is inspired by Hong Kong martial arts movies. Unlike Soulslike games, Phantom Blade Zero focuses on spectacle action similar to Devil May Cry.
