Espers in Neverness to Everness live and operate across the various districts of Hethereau, the sprawling city where the game takes place. Hethereau is a neon-heavy urban setting where reality-warping anomalies are part of daily life. Each district has its own atmosphere, faction presence, and challenges.
District | Description |
|---|---|
Home to the Coluccis Family and the Eibon Antique Shop; a gritty neighborhood with strong local identity | |
The modern downtown core with skyscrapers and commercial districts; site of the Hypervortex crisis | |
A vibrant shopping and entertainment area with various side activities | |
Residential district located within the Bridge Crossing area | |
Urban district with its own distinct character and challenges | |
An island area accessible from the mainland |
Jenson's home district and factional affiliations have not been disclosed. Characters in the game are tied to locations through their backstories and organizational allegiances.
The major organizations that Espers belong to in Hethereau include:
Bureau of Anomaly Control: The government organization tasked with containing supernatural threats. Houses multiple Esper Task Departments (ETDs). Members include Mint, Fadia, Lacrimosa, Baicang, and Skia.
Eibon Antique Shop: Run by Nanally in Bridge Crossing. Members include Hotori, Adler, Daffodil, Edgar, and Sakiri.
Sterry Express: A delivery service operating across Hethereau. Members include Jiuyuan, Haniel, and Hathor.
The Circle: A mysterious organization with connections to the deeper narrative of the game's main story.
Pink Paws Bank: A financial institution where Chiz serves as a lobby manager and urban guide.
Once revealed, Jenson will be assigned one of the six Esper elements: Cosmos, Anima, Incantation, Chaos, Psyche, or Lakshana. The game's Esper Cycle system creates powerful Elemental Reactions when adjacent elements on the wheel are chained together. Players build teams of up to four Espers, swapping between them in real-time combat to trigger these reaction combinations.
Each Esper also has a unique Esper Cycle Passive that enhances reactions even while the character is off-field. This means every team member contributes to the reaction chain passively, making element selection and team composition critical strategic decisions. The trio reactions (Discord, Cascade, Resonance, and others) add another layer of complexity by combining two primary reactions on the same target.
When Jenson becomes available, players will have access to the full range of character progression systems:
System | Description |
|---|---|
Increase base stats through experience materials and level caps | |
Unlock new passive abilities at specific Awakening thresholds using duplicate pulls or universal materials | |
Equip and upgrade the character's Arc weapon for additional combat power | |
Equip accessories that provide stat bonuses and set effects | |
Upgrade gear for additional stat scaling | |
Build relationship with the character through gifts and interactions to unlock bonus stories and stat boosts |
