Cross-Platform Play
Neverness to Everness supports full cross-platform play across all available platforms, allowing players on different devices to team up seamlessly. Whether someone is playing on PC, Mac, PlayStation 5, iOS, or Android, they share the same servers and can join each other's sessions without restriction. Developer Hotta Studio and publisher Perfect World Games confirmed cross-platform support as a core feature from the earliest announcements, and it was validated during the Co-Ex Test in February 2026 when PC, PS5, iOS, and Android players all shared the same servers for the first time.
Hotta Studio has a strong track record with cross-platform play. Their previous title, Tower of Fantasy, featured full crossplay and cross-progression between PC, iOS, and Android. NTE builds on that foundation by adding PlayStation 5 and Mac to the mix, creating one of the broadest cross-platform ecosystems in the action RPG genre.
Supported Platforms
All five platforms launch simultaneously on April 29, 2026, as part of the global release. The Mac version was confirmed in March 2026 after sustained community demand, making NTE available on every major gaming platform except Xbox. Leading up to launch, the game accumulated over 30 million pre-registrations across all platforms, and PS5 pre-orders became available at $9.99 for a special pre-order bundle.

Platform | Details | Storefronts |
|---|---|---|
PC (Windows) | Full keyboard/mouse and controller support | Steam, Epic Games Store |
Mac (macOS) | Native macOS support; confirmed March 2026 | To be announced |
PlayStation 5 | DualSense support; PS5 Pro also supported | PlayStation Store |
iOS | Touch controls with optional controller support | App Store |
Android | Touch controls with optional controller support | Google Play, official website |
Why No Xbox?
As of the April 2026 launch, an Xbox Series X|S version has not been announced. The platform was absent from all official announcements, beta tests, and marketing materials. Hotta Studio has not publicly explained the omission. NTE runs on Unreal Engine 5, which supports Xbox natively, so technical limitations are unlikely to be the reason. Community speculation suggests the decision may relate to publishing agreements or market prioritization, but nothing has been confirmed. An Xbox version could still be announced in the future.
Cross-Save
Cross-save is fully supported, meaning a player's progression transfers between devices. You can start a session on PC at home, pick up where you left off on your phone during a commute, and then switch to PS5 for a bigger screen experience. The following data syncs across platforms automatically:
Account data and character progress
City Tycoon progress and business investments
Inventory, equipment, and currencies
Gacha history and pity counters
Friend lists and social connections
Housing layouts and decorations
Story completion and quest progress
Hunter Level and reputation standing
PWG Account System
Cross-save functionality is tied to the PWG (Perfect World Games) account system. Players create or link a PWG account, which serves as the unified identity across all platforms. When logging into NTE on a new device, signing in with the same PWG account automatically loads all existing progress. It is strongly recommended to link your account early before investing significant time on any single device, as unlinked local progress cannot be merged retroactively.
Cross-Platform Multiplayer
All co-op content is fully cross-platform. Players on different devices can matchmake together for Anomaly Dungeons like The Bank and The Hospital. There is no performance-based segregation; PC, console, and mobile players are all placed in the same matchmaking pool. Team composition and coordination matter far more than the device someone is using.
This unified matchmaking approach was tested extensively during the Co-Ex Test in February 2026. The beta ran across PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, iOS, and Android simultaneously, with all testers sharing the same servers. Cooperative dungeons, the Pink Paws Heist infiltration mode, and open-world activities all functioned cross-platform during the test. Player feedback confirmed that matchmaking worked reliably across device types, and Hotta Studio used the data to optimize server infrastructure for launch.
Social Features Across Platforms
Social features like friend lists, chat, and housing visits also work across platforms. If you add someone as a friend on PC, you can visit their house from your phone and vice versa. The Mahjong social mini-game, fishing sessions, and street racing all support cross-platform participation. Guild and team systems operate identically regardless of which device each member is using.
Input Methods and Controller Support
NTE supports multiple input methods across platforms, giving players flexibility in how they interact with the game regardless of which device they are on.
Platform | Input Methods |
|---|---|
PC (Windows) | Keyboard and mouse; DualShock, DualSense, and Xbox controllers |
Mac | Keyboard and mouse; controller support expected |
PlayStation 5 | DualSense controller with haptic feedback and adaptive triggers |
iOS | Touchscreen; MFi-compatible controllers |
Android | Touchscreen; Bluetooth controllers |
Controller support on PC and mobile means players can maintain a consistent input experience when switching between devices. This is particularly helpful for the combat system, where mechanics like the parry system and Esper Cycle benefit from precise timing. During the Co-Ex Test, some players noted that driving controls felt more responsive with a controller than with touch input, so using a controller on mobile can improve the vehicle handling experience.
Platform Parity
Gameplay balance and content are identical across all platforms. Every update, event, and new character release arrives on all devices at the same time. The gacha system, battle pass, and in-game economy operate under the same rules regardless of platform. There is no exclusive content locked behind a specific device.
Graphical fidelity does vary by hardware. PC and PS5 support higher resolution textures, ray tracing, and advanced lighting effects through Unreal Engine 5. Mobile versions use adaptive graphics settings that scale based on device capability, ranging from low to ultra quality presets. Despite visual differences, all platforms render the same game world with the same geometry, NPCs, and interactive objects. The day-night cycle and weather system are synchronized across all connected players.
Tips for Cross-Platform Players
Tip | Details |
|---|---|
Link your PWG account early | to enable cross-save before investing significant time on any one device. Unlinked progress on a guest account may not be transferable. |
Use a controller on mobile | for a more consistent experience when switching from PC or PS5. Bluetooth controllers work on both iOS and Android. |
Adjust graphics per device | in the settings menu. Higher-end devices can push ultra settings, while older phones should use medium or low to maintain stable frame rates during co-op sessions. |
Check notification settings | on each platform separately. Push notifications on mobile and system tray alerts on PC may have different defaults. |
Download updates promptly | on all devices. Cross-save requires all platforms to be on the same game version. If one device falls behind on updates, you will not be able to load your save until it is updated. |
Be mindful of currency purchases | . In-game purchases made through the PlayStation Store, App Store, or Google Play may be subject to different regional pricing. The purchased premium currency syncs across platforms, but the storefront-specific pricing does not change. |
