Eibon Antique Shop
The Eibon Antique Shop is the main base of operations in Neverness to Everness. Tucked away on an unassuming street in the Bridge Crossing district of Hethereau, the shop functions as both a genuine antique store and the headquarters of an independent group of Anomaly hunters. On the surface, Eibon looks like any other curio shop in Old Town, stocked with odd trinkets and vintage collectibles. Behind the scenes, the crew takes on Anomaly Commissions from the public to stay financially afloat, handling supernatural incidents that the Bureau of Anomaly Control may not prioritize or respond to quickly enough.
The player arrives at Eibon as its newest recruit: the first "unlicensed" Anomaly Hunter to join the team. This unlicensed status sets the protagonist apart from the Bureau's officially sanctioned agents and becomes a recurring plot point throughout the story. Working out of Eibon gives the player access to commissions, story missions, and interactions with a colorful crew of staff members who each bring their own expertise to anomaly containment and resolution.
Staff Members
Eibon is staffed by a diverse crew of Espers and one Oddity, each contributing a unique set of skills, personality quirks, and backstory to the team. Several of the crew are among the most powerful Espers in Hethereau, making Eibon far more formidable than its modest storefront would suggest. The following table lists all confirmed Eibon staff:

Name | Role | Rank / Element | Details |
|---|---|---|---|
Proprietress | S-Class Cosmos | Wields an Umbrella Katana. The elegant and graceful owner of Eibon, Hotori holds a deep understanding of the treasures that pass through the shop and is a certified expert on antiques and valuables. She enjoys a strong drink or two and can be quite talkative when the subject turns to money. In combat, she draws a hidden katana from her umbrella handle, channeling Cosmos energy through time-manipulation abilities. | |
Leader | S-Class Anima | Fights with Fangs and Claws. Full name Nanally Coluccis, the Ichi-daime (first head) of the Coluccis family, the most renowned family in the Bridge District. Steadfast and dignified, she has participated in numerous major Anomaly containment operations including "Danzaburou's Revenge," "Fluffy Demon King Showdown," and the "V-class Wrath GR Cloud Crisis." Her signature technique, the "Coluccis Ultimate Death Shadow Nether Punch," is said to leave all opponents in its wake. She channels the power of electricity and uses her finger as a gun to shoot electric sparks. | |
Member | S-Class Incantation | Accompanied by her Anomaly companion Kiroumaru, a black-and-red, demon-horned, one-eyed hammer with autonomous consciousness. The ever-strict rule enforcer of the shop, Sakiri is famous for the Eibon fridge rules she posted on sticky notes: "Don't feed random things to Kiroumaru," "Don't look down on people," and "Don't open the third shelf in the fridge." In combat, Kiroumaru can execute headbutt attacks, devour enemies, and float targets into the air. | |
Butler | A-Class Incantation | Full name "Alois V Adler." Wields a Cane Sword with Karma stacking and Sunya summoning mechanics. An impeccable and professional butler who is skilled in both service and combat, always maintaining a calm and righteous demeanor. He prepares lovingly made meals for everyone at the shop and serves as a calming, reliable presence. Notably, Adler always keeps his eyes closed, a habit that no one at Eibon questions anymore. | |
Bodyguard | S-Class Chaos | Quiet and easily embarrassed, Daffodil does not say much and gets flustered when too much attention falls on her. She owns a massive collection of identical eyepatches, which have become her signature look, though no one at the shop can tell the difference between them. In combat, she specializes in Break Damage and can rapidly deplete an enemy's stagger bar, creating openings for the entire team to unleash burst damage. | |
Member | A-Class Cosmos | Despite having a baby face and youthful appearance, Edgar is very mature for his age with old-fashioned mannerisms that contrast sharply with how he looks. He is a calming, reliable presence at the shop and frequently accompanies the protagonist throughout their adventures. His composed nature makes him a steady anchor during missions where the rest of the crew might be more impulsive. | |
Restorer | Oddity (non-human) | A gentle and lovable squirrel-like Oddity with a TV-shaped head that displays a dog's face on its screen. Taygedo communicates by repeating his own name and is completely harmless. He serves as Eibon's dedicated Oddity restorer and is a three-time winner of "Eibon's Best Restorer," a recognition of his unmatched skill in repairing and maintaining Oddity-related artifacts and items. | |
Appraiser | S-Class Cosmos | The player character, also called the "Appraiser" or simply "Zero." The first unlicensed Anomaly Hunter to join Eibon, Zero has yet to secure the proper paperwork and registration. Players can swap between a male and female form after completing the "In the Reflection" side quest. Zero's arrival at Eibon marks the beginning of the main story. |
Role in the Story
Eibon serves as the emotional and narrative center of Neverness to Everness. The shop is where the player returns between missions to regroup, accept new commissions, upgrade equipment, and advance the main storyline. Conversations with crew members reveal backstory details, unlock side quests, and deepen the player's understanding of Hethereau's supernatural world. Much of the game's character development plays out in casual dialogue at the shop, from Sakiri scolding someone for violating the fridge rules to Adler quietly serving tea during a tense discussion.
Independence from the Bureau
The shop's status as an independent operation creates an interesting dynamic with the Bureau of Anomaly Control. Both entities work to manage anomalies, but they operate under different rules and motivations. Eibon takes commissions from the public for pay, while the Bureau handles incidents as a government mandate. This parallel structure means the player frequently navigates between the two organizations throughout the story, sometimes cooperating with Bureau agents and other times operating outside their authority entirely. The tension between Eibon's scrappy independence and the Bureau's institutional power forms one of the central thematic threads of the narrative.
Because the team relies on paid commissions, Eibon is barely solvent for much of the story. Financial pressure is a recurring concern that shapes which jobs the crew accepts and what risks they are willing to take. This gives the shop a grounded, underdog quality that contrasts with the scale of the supernatural threats the team ends up facing.
Location
Eibon is situated in Bridge Crossing, the historic Old Town district of Hethereau known for its quirky, one-of-a-kind shops tucked away in cozy hidden lanes. The area has a laid-back atmosphere with narrow streets, vintage signage, and storefronts that feel like they belong to another era. Eibon fits naturally into this setting: a place too unique to thrive anywhere else but perfectly at home among Bridge Crossing's eclectic mix of businesses.
The location also ties Eibon to the Coluccis family's influence in the Bridge District. As Nanally is both the head of the Coluccis and Eibon's leader, the shop benefits from the family's established reputation and local connections. This makes Bridge Crossing more than just a backdrop; it is woven into the identity of the crew and the story missions that unfold in the surrounding streets. Players who explore the district will find that many of the locals recognize Eibon's crew and have their own stories about the shop's history in the neighborhood.
Shop Functions
Beyond its role as a story hub, Eibon provides several gameplay functions that players interact with regularly:
Commission Board: Accept Anomaly Commissions from the public, ranging from simple investigations to high-difficulty containment operations.
Equipment and Upgrades: Access crafting stations, equipment management, and progression systems tied to Arcs (weapons) and gear.
Crew Interactions: Speak with staff members to trigger story events, raise affinity levels, unlock companion quests, and receive gameplay tips.
Oddity Restoration: Taygedo's restoration services allow players to repair and maintain Oddity-related items and artifacts found during missions.
Meal Preparation: Adler's cooking provides temporary buffs before heading out on commissions, adding a practical incentive to visit the shop between missions.
Trivia
The name "Eibon" likely references the fictional sorcerer Eibon from the Cthulhu Mythos, created by Clark Ashton Smith, fitting the game's supernatural themes.
Sakiri's fridge rules have become a fan-favorite detail, with players speculating about what is actually stored on the third shelf.
Despite being an S-Class Esper and a renowned family head, Nanally runs the crew with a surprisingly relaxed leadership style, letting Hotori handle the shop's finances and Sakiri manage day-to-day discipline.
Adler's habit of keeping his eyes closed at all times has prompted community theories, though no official explanation has been provided.
An Eibon Antique Shop exclusive pre-order was available through the official NTE store, featuring themed merchandise and in-game items.
