Overview
Hotta Studio is the developer of Neverness to Everness and a subsidiary of Perfect World Games. The studio is best known for previously developing Tower of Fantasy, an open-world action RPG that launched worldwide in August 2022. NTE represents Hotta Studio's second major title, built on Unreal Engine 5.
Tower of Fantasy Legacy
Tower of Fantasy was Hotta Studio's debut title, a gacha-based open-world action RPG that launched globally in August 2022 under publisher Level Infinite. The game received mixed reception, with players praising its ambition but criticizing power creep and balance issues over time. Service for Tower of Fantasy under Level Infinite ended February 23, 2025, with operations handed back to Perfect World Games.
NTE Development
NTE was first revealed on July 16, 2024 with a cinematic and gameplay trailer. The game underwent three rounds of beta testing: a Chinese CBT in November 2024, the global Containment Test in July 2025 (PC only), and the multi-platform Co-Ex Test in February 2026. NTE is published directly by Perfect World Games, not Level Infinite.
