Values are dynamic aspects of a Zoi's personality that reflect their morals and beliefs. Unlike Traits (which are permanent and chosen during character creation), Values develop organically through what a Zoi does in Story Mode. Each of the 10 Values is tracked on a scale of 0 to 100.
Every Zoi starts with Values influenced by their Traits and Desired Lives, which provide an initial head start toward certain Values. But Values are not fixed at creation; they rise and fall based on the actions the Zoi repeatedly takes throughout their life.
The key threshold is 60 points. Once any Value reaches 60 or higher, it becomes active and begins influencing the Zoi's wants and choices. The Value with the highest score becomes the Zoi's Core Value, the single most important principle guiding their personality.
When a Value becomes the Core Value, the Zoi gains three distinct benefits:
Unique social interactions: Value-specific conversations and social actions become available that are not accessible without a Core Value.
Value-based actions: Certain behaviors tied directly to the Core Value appear in the interaction menu.
Urge rewards: Urges that align with the Core Value generate Meow Coins when fulfilled.
Value | Description | How to Increase |
|---|---|---|
Love | Caring, compassionate Zois who cherish friends and family. They prioritize nurturing relationships and helping those around them. | Romantic interactions, caring for children, giving gifts, comforting other Zois, family activities. |
Coexistence | A positive outlook on life centered on peace, patience, beauty, and nature. These Zois are passionate about the environment and living in harmony with others. | Interacting with plants and animals, gardening, environmental petitions, spending time in nature, community events. |
Safety | Zois who avoid conflict and chaotic environments. They prioritize health, hygiene, and stability, rarely taking risks or putting themselves in danger. | Maintaining hygiene, paying bills on time, following routines, avoiding confrontation, taking care of household responsibilities. |
Authority | Driven by social influence and leadership. These Zois seek positions of power and enjoy directing others. | Career advancement, leading group activities, winning arguments, managing businesses, gaining recognition. |
Challenger | Thrill-seeking, bold Zois who embrace new experiences. They love taking on fresh challenges and pushing their limits. | Competitive activities, trying new hobbies, physical challenges, risky social interactions, exploring new locations. |
Accomplishment | Achievement-focused Zois who measure their worth by what they have done. They set goals and work methodically toward completing them. | Completing Ambitions, earning promotions, finishing projects, leveling skills, achieving milestones. |
Autonomy | Independent Zois who prefer solo activities. They spend time focusing on personal passions and are not likely to have large social circles. | Solo activities, pursuing independent hobbies, spending time alone, rejecting group invitations, self-directed projects. |
Rule-Abiding | Zois who follow norms and conventions. They respect social expectations, obey rules, and maintain orderly behavior. | Following daily routines, respecting authority, paying fines, cleaning up, following career guidelines. |
Pleasure | Zois driven by enjoyment and entertainment. They seek fun, relaxation, and sensory experiences above productivity. | Watching TV, playing games, dining out, social gatherings, leisure activities, coffee and food enjoyment. |
Traditionalist | Zois who value heritage, holidays, and duty. They follow the path set by tradition and social expectations. | Participating in seasonal events, holiday celebrations, family gatherings, cultural activities, respecting elders. |
Each Desired Life provides a starting boost to two specific Values. For example, Life of Abundance starts with higher Authority and Accomplishment, while Life of Harmony starts with higher Coexistence.
Desired Life | Starting Values |
|---|---|
Life of Abundance | Authority, Accomplishment |
Life of Advancement | Challenger, Accomplishment |
Life of Perseverance | Challenger, Pleasure |
Life of Contribution | Coexistence, Love |
Life of Creativity | Autonomy, Coexistence |
Life of Excitement | Challenger, Pleasure |
Life of Familial Devotion | Love, Safety |
Life of Freedom | Autonomy, Challenger |
Life of Harmony | Coexistence, Love |
Life of Respectability | Authority, Accomplishment |
Life of Romance | Love, Pleasure |
Life of Self-Discovery | No preset values |
Life of Simplicity | Coexistence, Safety |
Life of Stability | Safety, Rule-Abiding |
Life of Tranquility | Safety, Coexistence |
Life of Wisdom | Autonomy, Accomplishment |
Values fluctuate constantly based on a Zoi's actions. Frequent conflict decreases the Love value. Regular interaction with animals and plants boosts Coexistence. The system is designed so that Values reflect what a Zoi actually does, not just what the player intended. A Zoi assigned the Life of Tranquility who spends all their time fighting will see their Safety and Coexistence values drop while Challenger rises.
Once a Value drops below 60 points, it loses its active status and stops influencing behavior. If the Core Value drops below another Value's score, the Core Value switches automatically. This creates natural character arcs where a Zoi's personality shifts over the course of their life based on their experiences.
