Overview
The Sanctum of Revelation is a corrupted sacred site and Exploration Challenge in Crimson Desert, part of the quest chain given by Areciel, the Witch of Strength. It sits in the Demeniss region and has been overrun by Antumbra forces, including the boss Antumbra's Spear. Travelers must clear the infestation, solve a two-part Fusion Reactor Core puzzle, and restore the sanctum's dome-shaped device to cleanse the site and earn Areciel's reward. It is one of three sanctums in Areciel's chain alongside the Sanctum of Expiation and Sanctum of Renunciation.

Location
The sanctum is located in the Demeniss region on a patch of land surrounded by water, just northeast of the Serpent Marsh, on an island near the Port of Demeniss, north of the Bamboo Forest. Approach from the south side. A permanent fast travel point unlocks on cleansing.
How to Start
Travelers must first speak with Areciel, the Witch of Strength, and listen to her request. Her house is on the side of a mountain just north of Tommaso City in the Tashkalp region of Pywel. Without accepting her request first, the sanctum can be cleared but the completion will not register.
Walkthrough
Phase 1: Clear the Antumbra infestation
Approach from the south. The sanctum is crawling with Antumbra cultists, warpriests, and floating sphere-enclosed enemies. Shoot the spheres down with arrows first. Work through the area and bring the liberation percentage down toward 0%. AoE attacks work well on large groups.
Phase 2: Defeat Antumbra's Spear
Enter the fogged section of the sanctum to trigger the boss. Antumbra's Spear is fast and uses magic-based attacks that must be dodged, not blocked. Parry his normal attacks and respond with heavy attacks to build the meter under his health bar, which opens your main damage window. He can also be briefly stunned with Force Palm.
Phase 3: Fusion Reactor Core puzzle
Head west to the lower floor and find the standalone building just outside the ruins. Step on its collapsible roof to drop inside and retrieve the first Fusion Reactor Core (Fusion Reactor Core: XXXIV-VI). Use Axiom Force to grab it.
Return to the dome-shaped device. Locate the broken pillar in the west corner, place the core on top, and rotate it until green leaves appear around it to indicate the correct orientation. Climb on top and use a jumping Force Palm to lock it in place.
From the device, look directly east and up. A second core (Fusion Reactor Core: IX) rests on a ledge above. Climb a nearby rock, use Axiom Force to pull it down, and align it with the empty square-shaped slot on the north side of the device. When green leaves appear, use Force Palm to shove it into place.
Walk toward the square of lights on the ground if Areciel does not automatically appear. The interaction concludes and the sanctum registers as cleansed.
Antumbra Enemies and Boss
Enemy | Notes |
|---|---|
Antumbra Cultists | Standard melee mobs throughout the sanctum |
Antumbra Warpriests | Tougher variants that join the wave clear |
Sphere-enclosed floaters | Encased in a floating sphere, must be shot down with arrows before engaging |
Fast, magic-based attacks that cannot be blocked. Dodge magic, parry normal attacks, heavy-attack into the meter window. Can be stunned with Force Palm. |
Rewards
Reward | Notes |
|---|---|
Blueprint II: Kuku Rishi's Boots | Granted after speaking with Areciel post-cleanse |
Found upstairs before leaving; pick up before fast-travelling out | |
Skill points for the Abyss Tree | |
Permanent fast travel point | Sanctum of Revelation becomes a fast travel destination |
Liberation credit | Counts toward Exploration Challenges |
Tips
Accept Areciel's request before entering. Clearing the sanctum without it will not grant credit.
Do not try to tank Antumbra's Spear's magic attacks. Dodge first, parry normal swings, then commit to heavy attacks in the meter window.
Shoot down enemies floating inside spheres with arrows before engaging them in melee.
When placing cores on the device, watch for the green leaves indicator. Pushing a misaligned core with Force Palm will fail and force you to pull it back out.
Climbing onto nearby rocks gives better angles for Axiom Force grabs on the reactor cores.
Before leaving the sanctum, head upstairs and grab the Thorn of Dark Pursuit item.
The second core sits above the device on a ledge. Look up, not down, when searching for it.
Role in the Overwhelming Beings Questline
The Antumbra's Spear boss found at the Sanctum of Revelation is one of three generals whose defeat is required to unlock the Cloister of Ruination. Ator, the Antumbra Archon, is sealed within the Cloister and cannot be fought until all three generals have fallen. The Sanctum of Revelation sits on an island in the Serpent Marsh area, near the middle of the map. The other two generals are Antumbra's Sword at the Sanctum of Absolution and Antumbra's Staff at the Sanctum of Solace.

How to Approach the Island
The Sanctum of Revelation sits on an island reached from the mainland fast travel point directly west of it. The easiest method is to ride your horse straight across the water, since mounts can swim the gap in one stretch. If you plan to swim or glide yourself, stockpile stamina-restoring wines from the vendor in Hernand first, because crossing consumes a large amount of stamina. Smaller islands along the route make useful stamina-recovery stops.
Nearby Abyss Artifacts
Before committing to the sanctum itself, sweep the surrounding area for two Abyss Artifacts that sit out in the open. Both are close to the sanctum and add easy bonuses for the trip.
Secret Boss and Strongest Spear
Inside the sanctum a secret boss spawns in. It is widely considered one of the hardest fights in the game. Defeating it rewards one of the strongest spears in Crimson Desert, with a powerful abyss artifact already attached to the weapon. The artifact socketed on the drop is a popular choice in many end-game builds, which makes this reward worth returning for even after the main story.
