How to Find and View
All Memory Fragments use the same field workflow. Equip the Lantern (L1 or LB on controller, or Ctrl on keyboard) and walk through the suspected area. When the lantern glow turns blue and pulses, the marker is within range. Move toward the strongest reaction and hold the lantern raised until the "Learning in Progress" bar fills. Once the bar completes, the fragment is recorded and can be replayed at any time.
From horseback or across an open field, the Blinding Flash beam (Ctrl plus Left Mouse Button on PC, or LB plus RB on controller) covers a longer detection range than the standard lantern glow. After recording the fragment, equip the Visione to replay the scene. The quick-menu replaces the menu button with a "View Fragment" prompt right after pickup, so the new memory can be played without scrolling the full list in the armor tab or inventory.
Route Notes
Treat Painted Cavern as a one-count checklist target while sweeping nearby locations. Group this fragment with neighbouring Memory Fragments in the same visible region or landmark cluster before riding off to distant objectives. The pulse covers a short radius, so circling the suspected pickup with the lantern raised is more reliable than approaching from a single direction.
