The Dark Ringleader's Cloth Cloak is a Cloak in Crimson Desert. It is part of the Dark Ringleader's armor set, a four-piece equipment collection hidden in waterfall caves west of Hernand. While the cloak offers only 1 DEF, its standout feature is Ice Resistance Lv.3, the highest level of ice resistance available on a single armor piece. This makes it particularly valuable for exploring cold northern regions or fighting enemies that deal ice damage.

Ice Resistance Lv.3 is the highest tier of ice resistance that a single equipment piece can provide. This level of resistance significantly reduces incoming ice damage and mitigates the slow and freeze effects that ice-based attacks inflict. When exploring cold areas or fighting bosses with ice abilities, this cloak can be the difference between surviving a combo and getting frozen in place.
How to Obtain
The Dark Ringleader's Cloth Cloak is found inside the Echoing Tunnel, located behind a waterfall south of Shadowheart Grotto in the Hernand region. The tunnel entrance is concealed behind a curtain of falling water. Use the Stab skill to dash through the waterfall and enter the cave.
Inside the Echoing Tunnel, the passage features distinctive layered echoes throughout, which give the location its name. Follow the main corridor to find the treasure chest containing the cloak. A Refined Palmar Pill can also be found nearby, so be sure to check the area thoroughly before leaving.
The Echoing Tunnel sits along the same river as the other three Dark Ringleader set locations. Players traveling upstream from Cloudmist Cave will reach Shadowheart Grotto first, then the Echoing Tunnel slightly farther south near the Precipice of Echoes.
Set Pieces
The Dark Ringleader's armor set consists of four pieces, all found in waterfall caves in the Hernand region:

Build Recommendations
The Ice Resistance Lv.3 on this cloak makes it a top choice for specific encounters and regions. When facing enemies or Bosses that use ice-based attacks, swapping to this cloak can dramatically reduce the damage taken and prevent freeze status effects. The cloak is especially useful in the northern parts of Pywel where cold weather and ice enemies are common.
For general exploration where ice damage is not a concern, players may prefer cloaks with higher base defense or other elemental resistances. The Dark Ringleader's Cloth Cloak pairs well with the rest of the Dark Ringleader set for an all-around early-game loadout, but its real strength is as a situational swap piece for ice-heavy encounters.
Notes
Ice Resistance Lv.3 is among the highest single-piece ice resistance values in the game, making this cloak a strong pick even in mid-to-late-game builds when facing ice threats.
The cloak can be upgraded through Refinement at the blacksmith in Hernand to increase its base defense.
The Dark Ringleader's set has no formal set bonus. Each piece functions independently, so players can equip this cloak alongside armor from other sets without penalty.
Combined with the Ice Resistance Lv.1 on the Dark Ringleader's Leather Gloves, wearing both pieces provides substantial ice protection.
The Refined Palmar Pill found alongside the cloak in the Echoing Tunnel is a healing consumable worth picking up.
